The graphics back then were mind-blowing as a console gamer back then, can't believe how poorly they've aged.
It was a bad game anyways. The sequels are awesome though.

The fuck you talking about boy.
Been playing it on PS2 and I don't see what is so bad about it. Decent enemies, no health regen (ok maybe a little), no iron-sights, and a decent replay value with multiple character paths.
Killzone 1's terrible
and so is 2 and 3
Killzone 1 was great with friends on the PS2

um back in 2004 games like riddick and doom 3 were on the xbox, I never found killzone impressive
A.K.A We will now use valve time.
I thought KZ 2 and 3 were decent, haven't played one though.

At least you could actually see things in Killzone.

For about 25 meters before before the BF2-Esque view fog kicked in making everything beyond that point invisible and a pop-in waiting to happen.
Wow, I just defended and panned Killzone in one page.

Most of those points don't necessarily make or break a game.
Killzone 1 also had fantastic atmosphere.
I loved Killzone
I like how Killzone was billed as a Halo killer then failed miserably.

I don't see how it failed miserably. I never got to play KZ1 (I'd like to), I played through the KZ2 singleplayer and I would give it a 7/10, if for nothing else but the cool story. I tried playing KZ3 but it was after going from console to PC for like 6 months and I just couldn't stand it.
Also, KZ2's E3 trailer and it's intro video are probably the most epic, well made trailers I have ever seen. If you haven't seen them, go look them up. The E3 2005 trailer was what made me want a PS3 way back when.
KZ MP with bots extended the game for me by an increadible lot.
It had its problems with frame rate, refresh rate and some other stuff, but it was still great.

Blame Sony's marketing, not Media Republic/Guerrilla
Sean Pertwee, that is all.
I Never played Killzone 1, but I had a blast playing Killzone 2!

Thanks to him I can't stop thinking about Hakha whenever I hear his voice in movies.
I liked Killzone :c
I always found it silly how the Helghast would die in that game though
*Headshot with a sniper rifle, should be an silent kill*
