I am going to legally change my name soon due to personal reasons and I have my eyes on Artemis. Just wanted to hear some opinions on this matter.
I would say it's unisex, bordering primarily male.
yes [editline]1st August 2013[/editline] also literally everyone will call you Art

What are you changing your name from?
yeah whose name could be so bad you wanted to change it
-snip- literally no point in posting.
Feels more like a guy's name to me
Well, mythologically speaking Artemis was the goddess of the hunt and the moon.
in any case it's a shit name don't change your name to be different, it makes you seem like an ass
It sounds like a granny name to me.
I don't think so, a guy I worked with was named that. I never thought it was a non-guy name, I just thought it sounded fucked up.
There was that one girl from It's Always Sunny named Artemis
Obviously the better choice here is to go with baldur. [editline]1st August 2013[/editline] comeon man you can get a really cool gate and everythin.
Fuck Baldur, go with Thor, and carry a bigass hammer around with you at all times. An electrified hammer.
it's a pretentious name is what it is. you might as well call yourself augustus
Artemis "Goddess of the Hunt" Key word Goddess. From it's origin its a chick name. I've never seen or heard of a dude with that name, and I personally don't think it fits. But to each their own. If that one dude changed his name to Batman bin Superman I'm sure you're fine with Artemis
I know a guy called Artemi. So maybe you should use that instead.
Change your name to Rufus Camaraderie, that's badass.
seems like changing it to a very different name would create some awkward situations "oh wow your name is so unique, did your parents ever tell you why they chose it?" "I got it legally changed myself" "oh... ok"
Whats the appeal of an old Greek name? Its kind of unorthodox and you would probably get people bothering you.
Whats the appeal of an old Greek name? Its kind of unorthodox and you would probably get people bothering you.
Greek mythology is pretty badass.
I do believe Artemis is a female name... And you would always have people calling you "Art" or "Arte" What's so bad you want to change it??? If I can know
Change your name to Krauss The Baron Von Espy
I call my dick by that name. Pretty much male it is then.
Whenever I hear the name Artemis I think of these books:
change your name to rodney
Artemis is a femenine name, for Artemis, daughter of Zeus, twin of Apollo, is the Greek/Roman goddess of the hunt. If you want to keep the meaning but name yourself something more conventional, Diana is the roman name of Artemis.
gayweeddad_69 is a good name
