Do I need license to sell a copy of rare comic book?

Not me, but one of my Russian friends own a rare comics. And pretty much, he is crazy!

I can get any comic copy, what you will never find on tpb or anywhere else..

the point is that i dont own a comic book legaly, my friend does.

he will not be bothered if i will scan it, and trade for a game or a wow game time

I collect and sell comics as a hobby. For something like this it really depends.
Legally, if it's a book that has not been reprinted in the last 35-40 years (maybe older idk), and the scans you make are for your own personal use and you don't upload them or sell them, go ahead.
At least I think this is what you're asking.

If you scan it and sell THAT, it's illeagal and also incredibly fucking shitty since the comic industry isn't doing to well.

Manga is literally a style of comic. I think it even translates directly to comic book.
