Does the colour of our eyes change the colours we see?

Prove me wrong.
it doesnt cuz people would know
We see with the pupil not the iris
I can't prove you wrong because I don't have sufficient evidence.
What colour is the sky during the middle of a cloudless, sunny day?
If you say blue, and your eyes are any other colour than blue, then no, it has no effect.
I always wondered if everyone saw different colours, but because we grew up being told "this truck is red, the sky is blue" etc. we just accepted and though it was the same for everyone else.
The sky is blue. That truck is more than likely red.

But what if what you perceive as red, is actually my blue.

I've seen lots of blue trucks and sometimes the sky is red

perhaps the sky is a truck

we will never know
You have no idea how many times I've thought this.

Made me laugh.
I used to think about this a lot until I realized it doesn't really matter.

This. Like we see couors differently. What i see as blue you may see as what i see as orange
how is an egg made?
I thought the colour of your eyes affected your eyesight, not your ability to see :S
Your eye works by light going in through your pupil, your iris has nothing to do with it. Cones and rods inside your eye determine colors and shades of gray.

Yeah that's something I noticed, what if blue is different to everyone else? What if red to someone is the same as blue to someone else? How would we know? It's not really like it would actually matter, since we all know what everything is to us, and it doesn't affect our lives or anything. Although it still raises questions.

:tinfoil:
I don´t know dude,
my right eye is blue and my left eye is half-brown-half-blue,
sometimes I see VERY different (colors) with one or the other eye,
but that may be because I´m tired?

Liar.

You are making a statement that goes against everything we know, the burden of evidence is on YOU!
the only thing eye color does is help block out light. in sunny countries, they have dark eyes to absorb the light instead of it reflecting into the pupil and damaging it, kinda like how sports players where those dark stripes under their eyes. blue eyes was a mutation in one of the chromosones that lowered the production of the dark pigment in your eyes. it either became popular cuz it was sexier than dark eyes, or cuz they actually needed it, at that time when blue eyes came out, there were crop failures in europe, so they need more sunlight for more vitamin D or something like that, so you see, you eye color has nothing to do with what colors you see
What I always thought was that even though we see colors 'the same' people tell us, "this color here is red." That still leaves it open to the fact that people might see things differently.

Oh, and that could also explain color blindness.
I always found the sky to be green, not blue.
My left eye is green and my right eye is blue, im kinda fucked.
Christ, is it deep discussions week or something?

The fuck are we supposed to prove wrong.
You didn't even make a statement.
:downs:
This is one of the most interesting topics I've read on Facepunch.
I used to think along the lines of that.. like people see different colours to others, but then I realised "Who cares?" I'm never going to find out so thinking about it in any real detail would be a waste of time.
Can it be tested?
