Please help me out in a quick anonymous survey I'm doing. Not to offend or discriminate anyone but this survey is focused only toward those who consider themselves Black/African American. If this applies to you and you wish to take part, then by all means, please send your answers to all three questions through a PM to me or if you wish you may post on this thread. The information should be anonymous and will only be used to write a short report for an assignment.

Just a quick question; you realise that this political correctness around the descriptor "Black" doesn't exist elsewhere in the world? No one says "African English" or "African French".

Also no one says "Caucasian American" either. So what's the fucking point?

Yeah I defiantly realize that. What I'm trying to find out thought is what blacks, specifically in America, label themselves as and why. I agree with you though.

3. In my neighborhood, Black basically means that you can't trace their history before slavery, while African-American kind of means you have discernible roots.

I usually say the bad name for them but in Swedish, "neger"
