So first off anything creepy is welcome here. Whether ghost stories, pictures, etc. We want to hear your experiences and what YOU think is scary. ANYTHING horror is welcome.
So this thread is not ONLY set for Ghost / Paranormal. Next thread I will specify on the title(I apologize).
Over my life, I've had a lot of experiences.. ones that can't be explained and can be explained. I'm going to share one with you guys on here-
So my aunt and her family have moved around a lot in their life. Alittle bit of back story on the family that may have contributed (or I believe so, anyways) to what went on : Their husband was arrested early in my cousins life and was divorced by the aunt. The cousin stays with the aunt (my side of the family) for her whole life. Her aunt gets re-married and everything was handy dandy. The wife got breast cancer so of course she had that struggle ( and she smoked and still does), the cousin never had a real job (now 29) working at Wendies 5 hours a week and playing WoW all day every day (no offence to those who play WoW). and the husband was alcoholic. I was very close with the family as a child, though. There is(or was) believed to be 3 spirits in the house. A girl that died upstairs, a man that killed himself upstairs, and a supposed demon downstairs. I was young, so of course my aunt and uncle didn't tell me about any of it. But my brother refused to sleep down there, or hell.. even go down there at all. But I slept down there, and I heard footsteps one night. I think it's my cousin so I call her name and no one answers. ..The footsteps continue. I walk to the stairs and see a massive black man with no definition in the face or body. ( x for perspective) and I went to run the other way and it was there. I started to run up the stairs when I felt burning in my back. I ran up the stairs to my aunt and jumped into her chair and started crying. I still remember the words "What happened hon? Oh.. (COUSINS NAME) GET OVER HERE!" Aparently i had blood seeping through my shirt (I was to traumatized to remember at this point). Anyways.. Never went back down there for ALONG time. But it was 5 years later that the uncle and aunt divorced and the uncle left. The suspected demon or "shadow figure" mysteriously left the house and was never seen again.
I have a lot more experiences from this house and other places.
Also anything creepy.. from run down buildings to signs of Satanic Worshiping etc. I hope this thread gets some attention here on Facepunch.
Rules: Try to stay on topic please.
No retarted bullshit stories that are obviously fake. "I saw satan fucking a camel in my backyard"
Don't bash other's beliefs.. you can debate it but try to stay reasonable.
Post appropriate things that you would post in front of mods.
Dat new thread smell.
Ghosts aren't real faggot.
Good idea I guess..
Ghosts aren't real faggot.
Chill out. If you think that why post?
I wouldn't call OP a faggot, but I believe ghosts and paranormal are absolutely nothing to worry about.
I mean, by all means and logic, ghosts either exist or they don't. And assuming they do exist, ghosts are not really reported to have caused any human injuries or casualties.
So, what other conclusion am I left to draw?
Ghosts are as real as Bigfoot
ghosts aren't real, but skeletons are.

If you delve into it enough, you'll see that places with tragedy (such as murder, suicide, unexpected death ETC.) are found to have darker / more powerful spirits that are capable of injuring someone.
Ghosts are as real as you believe it. Its like religion. Some people choose to believe it, others don't. You can't really explain it unless you go through it. I don't see a point to say ghosts don't exist in a thread that is specifically for ghosts and paranormal activity.
One time I opened my closet and a skeleton popped out.

Really now? Well, I just hope never to get my shit fucked by a powerful dark spirit.
Or maybe it would merge itself with me, transforming me into a powerful dark spirit of a past human. That would be cool.

Here's some food for thought:
According to Einstein, energy can neither be created nor destroyed. So I ask you, what happens when we die? What happens to the energy that is within us? Given that a nuclear reaction doesn't happen when we die, then the energy must go somewhere. Personally, I'm not going to be a believer until I see something for myself. That's probably one of the reasons I want to spend the night in the Whaley house. But it is an interesting idea.
That said, my dad has encountered a demon.
New creepy experience:
I was browsing facepunch when the thread that I was fairly certain had died was back with more posts...
No, this thread is not dead yet, we just need to get back on topic. Let me defib this thread with one of my dad's creepy experiences: his encounter with a demon.
My dad used to work in satellite photography, and part of the job was to go into the bowels of the facility where there was this massive printer that printed the pictures in extremely large sizes. Occasionally, one had to perform maintenence on the spools. To do so, they had to turn off the lights, change them out in complete blackness, and turn the lights back on. Well, one day, my dad's coworker tells him "so my roommate and I may have summoned a demon", and he goes on to explain. Basically, he and his roommate found this old book in the library for summoning demons. For shits and giggles, they decided to try it out. After completing the ritual, they couldn't notice anything in particular, so they sat down on their beds. However, they soon realized that once they had sat down (while fully conscious), they could not move. They were stuck there for 2 hours, wide awake.
My dad, being somewhat skeptical, was like "yeah okay, whatever" and went about his business. That night, it was his turn to change out the spools. The basement that the printer was in was pretty spooky by itself, especially at night when no one was around. My dad went down into the room, and began changing the spools. However, when he turned on the lightswitch...nothing happened. He flicked it on and off a few times, yet the lights didn't come on. It was then that my dad remembered his co-worker's story. Kind of unnerved, my dad began to recite "The Lord's Prayer".
"Our Father, which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth,
As it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive them that trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
The power, and the glory,
For ever and ever.
Amen."
*click*
As soon as he finished, the lights clicked back on, and he booked it out of there and clocked out. :v:
My dad was thinking that what his co-workers experienced was sleep paralysis, but I'm pretty sure being held in place for 2 hours while you're wide awake doesn't count as that, especially when it happens to 2 people.
tl;dr
2 of my dad's co-workers summoned a demon

Are ovens haunted by the departed spirits of yeasty fungal prions? Forever tied to the location of their fiery demise and consumed with thoughts of vengeance against all baker-kind?
Stop scaring me.
So first off I don't want anyone bashing each others beliefs here... I just want to see who believes in such things.

Oooooh, where was the house?
Should have said the Lord's prayer. That supposedly pisses off demons and/or makes them get the fuck out.

Because humans are powered primarily by chemical energy, not nuclear fission. Fuck me. By that logic we should be wearing bomb disposal equipment to chop down trees.

That, or it remains in the body until a worm eats it. You know, transfer the energy from the corpse to the worm.
Or it becomes a spooky ghost. woooOOOooooh

In Washington. One of these big paranormal investigation groups got a investigation going there with my cousin and caught a EVP (Electric voice phenomena) on a recorder of a girl saying "Bye bye Mommy!". They lost the recording, but me and my cousin are planning on making our own group now that I've been tormented a portion of my life by what I believe is spirits. We would get right into it, but all the equipment (cameras etc.) cost SHIT TONS. You get what you pay for, and we don't wanna skimp.

Once i think i saw one of those kind of spirit orb long ago, i was not able to sleep, i checked the hour then i saw a purpleish light orb close the wall infront of me, i saw it for about 2 second then quickly passed tru the wall. One of my friend said he had a similar experience, he even has it on tape but he lost the cable to recharge his camera, but he still has the tape.

Orbs are believed to be concentrated EMFs. When a spirit is powerful enough, it shows on tapes and it's the most common visual accurance. I've seen them in a Graveyard I've investigated including my aunt's house. If you guys want investigation stories I got some if you're interested.

Will do.
Anywaysss!
I plan to be investigating a place very well known in the paranormal world, Starvation Heights, WA. The backstory on this place is that there was a make-shift doctor named Dr. Linda Hazzard, (who wasn't a real doctor). She believed that she had the cure to all disease. She had 500+ patients, and she starved them all. Their only "food" was tomato soup once a day. She even wrote a book called the "Fasting for the Cure of Disease". As you can guess.. approximately 90%+ died in her treatment. One of her buisness partners, E.R. Butterworth (known for his corrupt Mortuary that is also haunted in Washington : Investigated by Ghost Adventures) told her that the police were going to charge her with murder, she starved herself to disguise herself. In one instance, one her patients tried to escape, (found from records & the show The Dead Files) and she pushed her down the stairs and killed her. Her sister lived to tell the tale. The place is now open for investigations and is widely renowned for it's supposedly haunted grounds.
