Wish we had mod support on consoles, UT3 did it.
A countless amount of mods doesn't really add replay ability to the game. Sadly it only makes it shinier, or with more armor/weapons, animals and monsters.
Sadly the mods didnt reignite my desire in the game. I've played the game for about 100+ hours now, done almost every quest, every guild quest, and main quest, got the best armor etc. I dont play the game at all anymore
sites like Skyrim Nexus are still going strong. It currently touts almost 80 million downloads, and more than 14,000 mod files.
dear god why wont you die
Some of the total conversion mods like the whole thievery revamp and stuff like that made me replay the game loads of times, i hate having one char who's good for all so i just make mage/archer/assassin etc and i find the replayability for mods due to that method considerably better.
I'm waiting for the inevitable mod that ports Oblivion to Skyrim.
dear god why wont you die
Where else will people satisfy their sexual fantasies?
dear god why wont you die
In all honestly, I doubt the Nexus sites will ever die.
You guys seem to look at Nexus and automatically think they ONLY have sex mods there, when the reality is, a shitload of the mods you use now are made from contributors from Nexus.
You have to sift through a bunch of sex mods to get at the good mods. Its really not as bad as it seems.

Are you guys kidding me? The Nexus has ten times more mods and way better quality than the Steam Workshop. The workshop is full of kiddies who are having fun making cookie cutter "My First Mods".
I use both.
I use both.
avatar fits. OT : Thats pretty impressive, although I don't think it makes up for the lack of DLC.
I strongly prefer the nexus mod manager system as it integrates with SKSE, has conflict resolution, and has auto-update functions.
I'm waiting for the inevitable mod that ports Oblivion to Skyrim.
http://www.darkcreations.org/forums/forum/120-beyond-skyrim-general/ one upping you here, mod in the works that adds all of tamriel, and apparently its going well
I just wish someone would make a mod that makes the combat system not suck. Then I would play this game more. Like I keep on saying, if they mixed something like Dark Messiah's combat with skyrim it would be the best shit ever.
I have about 53 mods, doesn't really actually effect performance noticeably IMHO.
Like I keep on saying, if they mixed something like Dark Messiah's combat with skyrim it would be the best shit ever.
Oblivion + Deadly Reflex mod. Bethesda tried to replicate it in Skyrim but failed
The only reason I dislike the steam workshop is because I'm constantly paranoid somebody is going to re-upload my swearing mudcrabs mod to it and I'm far too lazy to bother porting it over. I even have a finished mod that's ready for steam workshop but I'm too lazy to upload it. That's how lazy I am.
What's this about the Nexus being only sex mods? Last time i was there, there were plenty of normal mods.
There are a few nice mods on the Nexus, but most of the good ones are on Steam Workshop.
What's this about the Nexus being only sex mods? Last time i was there, there were plenty of normal mods.
There is only one actual "sex" mod on the nexus [since the last time I checked...] so I'm not sure why some people think its mainly just a bunch of sex mods, since there is alot more normal mods than sex based mods
Just curious, does the Nexus mods have auto-updating?
Just curious, does the Nexus mods have auto-updating?
In NMM if there is an update to a new mod that you downloaded it will show an icon in the mod list on the mod that was updated. Also Workshop is good for mods that are updated a alot, but I prefer Nexus for larger mods that aren't updated very much.
