So nothing actually changed? Levine is still president and it's still a smallish studio working for Take Two. All they did was give themselves a lamer name and logo.

tbh I kind of like ghost story. its like a nice little humble name but I'm not sure if its suitable for the likes of the ones behind SS2 / BS
If I had a start up indie company maybe, I wouldn't toss the name into the bin, you know what I mean?
Yeah I mean I like the Pacific Northwest "woodsy" style but it's unfitting for a team that I'm assuming is still gonna make AAA games. Just seems unnecessary, unless they're trying to remove the connotations of large-scale general audience games that came with Irrational.
Ultimately it doesn't matter anyway, I'm just interested in what they have coming up since it's been over 3 years since anything came out of them
I don't understand why they did this. You could say it was
irrational.
Surprise sequel to Freedom Force please?
:frown:
ghost story, they make games that don't exist.

There is always a campfire and a hookhand
So, they just changed their name to one reminiscent of the anime whose official english dub is of the Abridged type. Why?
....so you tell me, what the fuck is an urban Massachusetts-based game company doing with the Pacific Northwest "firewatch" theme???? does that make sense to anyone else??

Cancelled video games
Deep Cover
Division 9
Monster Island
The Lost
Freedom Force 3
Untitled BioShock game for PlayStation Vita
Which is a shame considering I enjoyed that series. Your favorite hero is Batman? Well mines Tombstone!

To be fair it's better than when it was "2K Boston"
so does that mean we will get a new swat eventually
that's all i want from these people

A shit ton of people who used to have jobs don't now, so plenty changed.
I feel like i'm the only one here wanting a Freedom Force remaster (possibly with vs. the Third Reich bundled as part of said remaster)

Go full circle with it.
SWAT 5: Police Quest
So, they just changed their name to one reminiscent of the anime whose official english dub is of the Abridged type. Why?
they're gonna get the dub team of ghost stories to do the script and the voice acting, and the lip syncing will be created before the lines are actually voice acted so the voice actors have to match the lip flaps

At least with 2K Boston you have a fair bit of brand identity and are easily recognizable. Continually rebranding yourself is the fastest route to obscurity.
