It also helps they were based on the [url=http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Selkath]Selkath[/url] from KOTOR which are one of my favorite Star Wars races and were among the few things that were not progressively ruined as the Mass Effect series went on.

This picture was the first thing I ever saw on ME. It was a picture in a game informer article, and its what got me interested. It just looked so awesome.

Personally, S1 knightmare designs were way better towards a more militaristic machine. Most of S2 felt too complicated and were basically gundams. I don't get how the universe managed to get a technological leap in 1 year.
