Help! My amp is not working! It is brand new! What happened?

I came back home and pluged my guitar in. i turned it on my normal volume. it did not work. i checked my guitar volume. it was normal too. No mater how much i strum, no sound came out.I took it bacck and they said it was fine. what do I do?

I unppluged then, pluged it back in. no luck. i even tightened the cord.

The input cable might be a little messed up. Try a different cable.

Or make sure the amp's active/passive pickup settings are set appropriately, if it has any.
