If this is true it'll be the single stupidest thing I've ever heard.
PC gaming to make a rise when we discover that that the eighth generation turns out to be complete shit.
so again, why does the gaming "press" report on every rumor that gets sent to their inbox?
If this is true it'll be the single stupidest thing I've ever heard.
why
it comes with the console. it's not like an optional accessory that has to be bought seperate. really isn't that big of a deal.
plus, until it comes from microsoft i take all this with a grain of salt.

also if it's required then maybe developers will find some actual cool uses for the kinect rather than a bunch of dumb gimmicks.
I thought this was a joke when I saw the title.

In other words, it would be a horribly broken mess that would be impossible to calibrate like the report says it would require.
Halo 6 will end with Master Chief taking off his helmet to reveal your face, as scanned by Kinect while you didn't even notice.

Not to mention that if it breaks you MUST buy a new one.
It's ridiculous to make an accessory required. Shipping it with the system is enough to get developers involved.
Its like saying that a console might come with two controllers to encourage developers to add coop, but require that two controllers are in at all times.
No it fucking won't.
There is a massive flaw with gaming "journalism." The vast majority of pay comes from advertisements. So they post the most sensationalist bullshit they can either make up or some kid emails them and then it gets a shitload of hits because of "OH GOD WHY" and they rake in the money with nothing actually being done.
While I find this extremely bullshit, I hope the next gen consoles are gonna flop, eventually devs will make more PC games

or the game market will just die
lol their source is kotaku
It's like they're not even bothering to find even somewhat legitimate rumors anymore.
Introducing the all new Microsoft Telescreen
In other news, sales of duct tape go up as gamers tape over the sensor while not playing to avoid Microsoft watching them fap.
This is the first generation of consoles where any rumor I hear actually makes me less interested.
Even if it's a bullshit rumor, with the route Microsoft's going it.. Kinda wouldn't surprise me. I don't know how well the Kinect sold overall, but it's almost like their higher ups have some sort of psychotic obsession with the damn thing.

Why would you masturbate with your Xbox on anyway? Unless you do that sort of thing while browsing Netflix or something.

Actually according to numbers released today 1 in 3 Xbox owners also own a Kinect.

I'd say thats pretty impressive considering how late into the 360s lifespan it was released
I got a Kinect because I wanted to make objects move like I do, instead turning my hand just a fiction made my character do something out of the exorcist or a Bethesda game and defy physics. It got refunded shortly.
Or telling the kinect to Scan a dead enemy only for it to read Grenade and get me a game over

But Mr. Bones is my player 2!
Scumbag gamers: want gaming to be revolutionized but don't want change.
