I'm looking for a way to encrypt/hide my files so that they don't show up on standard Windows searches (Windows XP 32-bit ones) and are all in a folder that requires a password to access. I've tried some stuff like AxeCrypt but it doesn't support all file types and doesn't hide the files nicely. Does anyone have any they've personally used and can vouch for?
TrueCrypt creates encrypted "vaults" of files that can be mounted as drives.
Additionally, it can create nested vaults, each with its own password but listed as the same vault.
I haven't used it in a while, but it worked good for hiding personal info and stuff like that.

I'll try that, thanks!
Yeah, Truecrypt. I know what you're trying to hide :smug:
TrueCrypt.
If you've already turned a file into a vault, is it possible to resize the vault without having to perma decrypt and make a new one?

You can also encrypt an entire volume with it, rather than creating encrypted containers
What I do is create a new partition for the data I want to hide, then edit the registry so it doesn't appear.
you could use peazip
