Everybody has played some party games at some point in their life.
I expect a lot of people on this forum are at the age where party games are considered "kids stuff" and therefore "to be avoided" even if they are fun. This may be because some of the most well known ones are fucking dull, like pass-the-parcel, which was designed purely to keep a large number of children quiet with the hope of getting the shitty present in the middle. But some can be fun, so long as you have a good group of people who want to play.
I consider a party game to be anything that requires a large group of people and hardly any equipment. This includes drinking games of course.
IMO the best ones are simple, competitive and also entertaining for the boring people who don't want to play.
Here's a couple of my favourites:

The After Eight game
Named after the chocolate mints that me and my friends always use for this game (If these aren't available in your country, I'm sure that you could find something that will work. It just has to be chocolate and it works best with something small and flat), call it what you like.
Everybody puts a chocolate on their forehead and the winner is the first to eat theirs without using their hands (or anything else). You just tilt your head and try to get it to slide down your face without falling off. For extra points, get somebody to lick the melted chocolate off of your face afterwards.

The last time I played this, we had about 10 people playing and the rest of the room crowded round, cheering their favourites on and making bets. It's simple, but people seem to like it.

Spoons
Maximum of 13 players for this version. Requires a pack of cards and a number of spoons (not brittle plastic ones) one spoon less than the number of players.
The pack must contain a 4-of-a-kind set for each player, i.e. use the whole pack for 13 players, take out 1 complete set for 12 players, etc.
The players are seated in a circle with the spoons in the middle. The cards are shuffled and dealt.
Everybody has to try to get 4-of-a-kind, by discarding a card to the player on their left and picking up the card given to them by the player on their right. All the players do this simultaneously on a signal given by the dealer. The dealer has to keep the cards moving fairly quickly, making the players discard/pickup every couple of seconds.
When somebody gets 4-of-a-kind, they can pick up a spoon.
When somebody picks up a spoon, everybody else can pick up a spoon, even if they don't have 4-of-a-kind.
The person who doesn't get a spoon during the mad free-for-all is out of the game. Also, if you are the first to go for a spoon, but you don't have 4-of-a-kind, then you're out instead of the person with no spoon.
A spoon and a set of cards is removed and play continues. Keep going until you either have a winner, you get bored, or the cards have so much blood on them that you can't continue.

When people really get into it, the scuffle to get a spoon can become quite violent. I actually have scars on my hand from playing this game and I've seen furniture get damaged. Watching grown men and women fighting over a spoon is quite entertaining though."LET GO OF MY SPOON YOU BASTARD!"
Has anybody else got any good ones?
Anything that requires a lot of people and doesn't need much in the way of equipment.
Mario Party 2?
[editline]19th December 2012[/editline]
I'm serious, go find your old N64 (If you have one), dust it off, and play some good old Mario Party.

What if your face is dirty and acne-ridden

That's even better!

Then you'll need those extra points, your bumpy skin is a severe disadvantage.
