Have you ever smelled static electricity? This is a legitimate question. Everyone I ask looks at me like I'm crazy. I've smelled it plenty of times.
Yes I have. Smells kinda... Thick yet tangy to me. I also smell rain before it comes.
Ozone.

You can't smell electrons you tardasses
When I first smelt it, it was pretty shocking
The static electricity ionises the oxygen in the air, causing it to form ozone. This is what you can smell.
Interesting. No i havent smelt it yet. But i want to now.
I love the smell of rain in summer
I tend to like the smell of Electricity,Very Relaxing.

Smelt like ass
Is it even possible to smell it?
Yeah, it has something like a bitter-ish scent to it. Which, as was said before, is from electricity ionizing the air, forming ozone.
You can't smell electrons you tardasses
Actually this is incorrect. Recent studies of fruitflies shows that they can distinguish between molecules with deuterium and molecules with hydrogen, even though with our current model of how the olfactory sensors work this shouldn't be possible. The hypothesis is that the higher mass of the deuterium atom alters the rate at which the molecule vibrates. This changes the energy needed for an electron to travel to the smell receptor via quantum-mechanical tunneling. This alters the response the sensors sends to the brain. /shamelessly ripped from newscientist

The only that bothers me is commutator smell. I hate those carbon brushes (you feel this smell after using a power drill for example).
