Far Cry 1 is unbelievably difficult when it gets to the second half.
Descent pulls out a ton of bullshit moments.
The Bureau: XCOM Declassified has some crap parts, in fact it's why I didn't finish it.
Doom 3 isn't bad, but BFG Edition is broken to shit so it's hard. Dying with like 90 armor left.
The old Super Mario games get pretty hard in the late stages. The Lost Levels are ungodly hard, I'm proud to have finished it.
Star Fox on the SNES get's bad on the hard track. I mean I know it's the hard track but dear god does it get bad.
any fighting game bar the soul calibur series (and tekken II). Mortal Kombat and Killer instinct are insanely hard, even on normal difficulty.

The Witcher 2
The combat in that game can be really unforgiving.
Civilization games on retardedly high difficulties are super hard to me.
Also, as much as I love the new X-Com games, there's times where I just quit because of stupid bullshit (multiplayer is a treasure trove of this).
Witcher 2 by far. I don't know if I was just wasn't doing the combat correctly but I remember several parts of just a couple enemies where I would die dozens of times. Nothing intentionally hard, just basic enemies were kicking my ass.

If you found that hard try it on hard mode with a level 1 cap. You quickly get to the point where you more or less can't get hit or you're boned.
