This isn't an issue with crypto currency this is an issue with people trusting a 3rd party took look after their money, with no regulations then the safest thing to do is store your own coins.

Why haven't people learned yet to NEVER FUCKING EVER deposit your cryptocurrency coins on a 'bank'.
All the big ones always get 'hacked' and disappear.
