I dont know anything about building a computer but I wanted to get a gaming computer. I have about a $800 budget, and I was also thinking about doing AMD instead of intel.
I will not do it for you, I will just give you a few hints. 1.Even if you want a AMD cpu (I dont know what's better atm), you should still take a CPU that is good for it's prize. 2.You should consider what you want to play and on which graphics, if a Average computer is good too or if you want a high end one. 3.If you are choosing the parts alone and you don't know anything about computers. LOOK AT BENCHMARKS AND TESTS OF THE SINGLE PARTS! If you seriously don't know anything you should make sure you buy good stuff, not just because it says "Nvidia" it is "Ub0r Pr0". 4.Make sure everything fits.I've seen people that ordered a really good GPU but like the worst CPU ever. Counts for the Mainboard aswell, make sure everything fits in it. I hope I could help you at least a little bit.
How do you tell when stuff is compatible? does it just tell me
Some stuff just explains itself I guess. A new motherboard that isn't outdated can of course take DDR3 Ram as example. But like, if you don't know ANYTHING about computers, is there anyone close to you that does know something?
I helped him out with picking out parts, and will help with building. I have some experience and was able to see what others did when they helped me with my build a little bit ago. Thanks for helping him out.
The way I'm doing it is that I got a 2011 book on building computers, and I'm reading through it and taking notes. Then I'll get the money and decide which of my dreams should be crushed due to limited funds so that I can spare the others. This is my first build too, so I wish both of us luck.
It's 864.55, but after the mir, it's 809.55
The Gtx 560TI is a bad choice. A well known friend got it too, its not really that good. You should save up a little bit more for a better one.
I would get 2 EVGA NVIDIA Geforce GTX 460's. I use it and I run ARMA II on Ultra. Also, keep the i5. The processor (CPU) is the most expensive item you will need to buy. Unless you have the cash to burn, go right ahead.
