• Skype 4.1 20% CPU usage

Well, since I use Windows 7 Skype boosts my CPU usage up to 20% when talking to someone, back when using Windows XP it wasn't even over 2%. What the fuck is going on? I already tried using an older version(3.8), but it always crashs on logon or when someone calls me. Also I found on google that it might help to only run the .exe, so I copied the .exe over to my desktop and uninstalled Skype, but still the same.
There's nothing wrong with that. Skype uses that much on my PC too.
There is something wrong. It all just happened since using Windows 7, before it was under 2%. It isn't even possible for me to play games with Skype in the background, I know that Skype isn't the right tool for that, but it worked under XP.
Where are you getting your percentages from?
I'm surprised skype uses up that much. The only problem I have, is that the microphone quality changes when me, my mate and another mate are in a conversation. It also happens when only 2 of us are talking
Where are you getting your percentages from?
Ever heard of task manager? :downs: Anyways, on another forum somebody told me about SUPERNODE, might check that out. Edit: Doesn't really helps. :iiam:
