I'm currently running Vista 32 bit, and I'm going to be changing to Windows 7 64-bit RC. I've already partitioned my hard-drive to install Windows 7 on. I'm then going to copy everything over from partition 1 (Vista) onto partition 2 (7) that I want to keep. After copying all of that, is it possible to format partition 1, and merge it with partition 2 to end up with Windows 7 installed on my hard-drive with no more partitions?
Is this possible? Or should I just backup everything I want and then do a fresh install of Windows 7 over a non-partitioned hard drive?
