Well that's just stupid. I want my refund then, Valve. I don't even play it anymore anyways, after a few months of its release it gets repetitive and annoying.
Waaah people are playing a game for free I paid for 4 years ago
I kind of saw this coming. It was slowly turning into a F2P game with all of the microtransations anyway, just that you had to pay to play. Atleast we get a hat and premium, right?
I hope people end this bitching about it being F2P :colbert: I see no issues with it, server owners will be pleased that they'll get a rise in community members signing up to their forums and shit. I don't even care about the $20.00 I gave to valve to play it, it's our fault for buying it before this...
4 Years is a long time.

Besides the fun and 700 hours game time I had was well worth the 20 euro i paid for the Orange Box.
i dont care. its still a good game. its still fun. just because you dont have to pay anything for another copy doesn't call for an uproar of rage and anger infact i find this to be a good thing i got my friends hooked on PC gaming, now they have something to play along with me more cannon fodder, (new players) and it will hopefully become an even more popular game than before
I milked the game for all the fun it's worth for me long before that anyway. So those 10$-20$ were well spent back then.
You can now collect one of the 189 cosmetic items !!! fuck
I don't know whether to laugh or cringe at people wanting a refund for something that's gone free to play after being on the market for an already low price, for 5 years n October. If you bought it recently fair enough, email steam and explain but other than that, you can look at it as a sound investment. In one way I'm glad to see how great Valve have been in supporting a game this old, rare that few companies would do that. I don't like how much the game has changed personally, but that doesn't mean I'll want a refund. Getting all my friends together is worth it.
I haven't played for ages, it doesn't feel as fun as it did in 2007, it's lost it's balanced feeling and streamlined look.
"lol guise u spent money on dis gayme 4 yrs ago lol stop whining" Ahh yes, because every single person who every bought TF2 bought it the same day it was released.
Here are the facts: Most people that got TF2 when it came out got it through The Orange Box, therefore paying around £5 for it at the most expensive point of it's cycle. Most of us have a premium account with perks that don't alienate the new community. I am now looking forward to actually killing something in this game with all the new players :D
All this means to me is more fresh meat. This also completely shits on that TF2 chinese rip-off.
Well that's just stupid. I want my refund then, Valve. Didn't you ALREADY waste that money since you don't play the game any longer to begin with? :downs:
Y'know what sucks? A friend of mine bought it two days ago.
"lol guise u spent money on dis gayme 4 yrs ago lol stop whining" Ahh yes, because every single person who every bought TF2 bought it the same day it was released.
It happened to be in the orange box and most of us where going for at least two games out of it anyway.
ever since TF2 was announced FTP I can't login to steam :argh:
A refund would be cool, but I don't think the majority of us are entitled to one. Unless you got it recently in the past month, But you get a free hat, and thats all the game is about now so who can complain :D I don't play any more now so meh.
Seriously the way people feel about money spent on games is so different from normal Would you seriously care about some little toy you bought for 20 bucks (or bought in a pack/with a discount) 4 years ago go free if it was a real thing?
Makes sense to me.
We should all know by now that valve loves to experiment This is their first time they've had a free-to play game with micro transactions, and they're just finding out what it's like It's just them testing the waters, hell if it goes badly they may even change it back.
i dont care about the money, but ive already seen an assload of hackers on a couple of servers
VAC doesn't really stop them now anymore, everytime they're VAC banned they can just get another free copy of TF2. Hacks will be, pretty much, free to test until holes and exploits are found.
i wouldnt be upset about this if they atleast offered a vanilla version of TF2 for premium users but im not that upset about it going free to play. since i got my moneys worth a long time ago. (i dont even really play it any more only when new updates come out)

Does anyone know if the TF2 beta is exclusive to those who bought it or not?
Just fucking get over it, it's a game for fuck sake, why does it matter?
stop fucking crying about getting your money back, you won't.
