I just recently got an iPod touch with 2.2.1 firmware (too cheap to buy the new update), and for some reason when I try to click and drag some apps that I downloaded onto the iPod it won't work at all. Is there something I have to do? I really don't like it to automatically sync, so is that the only option? Thanks in advance.
You probably need the 3.0 update because there were a lot of core changes with that update most apps had to re-release because of compatibility with 3.0. so with 3.0 it must have broken most apps working with 2.2.1
Not sure where but there's a workaround to Dowoad 3.0 free.
Which is downloading the IPSW from a different site, bypassing Apple's firmware check, which is warez. Don't do this, instead just shell out for the upgrade
