Hey! Is the Turtle Beach Ear force x12 any good? Im thinking of getting one for my PC gaming stuff. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TURTLE-BEACH-EAR-FORCE-X12-GAMING-HEADSET-Xbox-360-PC-/300741588250?pt=UK_Video_Games_Headsets&hash=item460598751a Any of you got one of these? If so any complaints? Thanks!
No, but if you need a headset just get a cheap one. Headsets are not durable and they sound like poop, don't waste your money. I suggest you properly investing into a good pair of headphones and a microphone, but that's not for everyone. I've had a pair for a good while now (Bought them refurbished from Woot.com for quite a bit less than retail price, they are in perfect condition too) and they work great. They have 3 connectors that you need to plug in, a USB, and then a connector for an audio jack and one from microphone jack. The USB is to power the bass boost which is actually pretty good, and has it's own dial on the headphones to set how much boost you want. The quality of the microphone is good as well, there is a feature on the headphones that plays your voice right back into your ears so you can actually hear yourself even though the headphones have noise cancellation. my only complaint is the little box that has the volume controls and the microphone mute and stuff has a bit of weight to you, so you gotta kind of bundle the wire up a big on yourself so that the weight doesn't pull the wire down. Also the wire is really long.
turtle beaches are a waste of money.

Shadaez pretty much summed it up.

The x12 only costs a little more than the microsoft headset, and is no doubt a lot better than it. I can tell you by just looking at that microsoft headset that it will be incredibly uncomfortable for long duration wear due to the material used to cover the pads. (doesn't let your skin breath and will cause sweating and stick to your skin.) The cloth used on the x12 is very comfortable for long durations, and there is a fairly large pad on the top so that the headset wont dig into your head.

Ive had those, there not bad but they hurt my ears for some reason.
I had one for about 9 months. The Mic stopped working after 5 months, and it started coming apart after 7 months. The quality of the speakers gradually got worse the more they aged.
I've had X12s since the beginning of last summer. I got them as a replacement because I treated my X11s very poorly. I'd recommend them if you have both an Xbox 360 and like to game on a PC, seeing as you can use them for both (which was the only reason I got them). I've never used any high-quality headphones myself, but the X12s work fine. The only downside I can think of is that the part that goes over the top of your head becomes uncomfortable after a couple of hours, despite it being decently padded. I haven't noticed any difference in audio quality, and I'm sure my microphone hasn't had any problems since I purchased it so I can't say why Period was having problems with it. However, I've started to see that the wires tend to twist among themselves and can prove to be very frustrating to deal with. I wouldn't recommend getting the wireless version, I know someone who had a lot of trouble with them ranging from bad battery life to having his cellphone create a strange noise whenever it was close to him. I'd say that maybe I got lucky with the headset I got, because I've heard testimonies from people I used to play Xbox with saying that theirs didn't last long. Perhaps it's how they've treated theirs, but I always keep mine in as good a condition as possible and they've worked great. It's also worth noting that if you do intend to use these with an Xbox 360, then you better be prepared to deal with horrible sound quality compared to what you'd hear from your PC. I'm not sure if it's just the console or if it's with Xbox Live's voice service, but it's very bad.
