See title.
Preferably something with macros and programmable keys. Would love to be able to assign functions to LMB and RMB especially.

Logitech has some awesome mice. The G500 for example has a perfect design for me.
I used to have an MX518 (which has similar design) and that thing was the bee's knees.
But in the end, it all comes down to whatever shape of mice you feel most comfortable with.
Edit: I deserve a bad reading, as I did not see that you wanted macros and programmable keys. I don't know if logitech has anything in that range.
My logitech G300 is a pretty good more or less cheap mouse.

I have 150+ bucks I am willing to dump in to a mouse.
High end, essentially.
SteelSeries mice are great.
I'm loving my Xai, but they stopped making them. The Sensei RAW is essentially the same thing. It's easily the most comfortable and fun to use mouse I've ever owned.

If you want to spend more, you could get the regular Sensei, but IMO it doesn't include enough to be worth it.
Get a Razer Deathadder, Steel Series Siberia headset and a mechanical keyboard. Perfect combo.

We are mice twins.

Already got a steel series headset (love it) and my trusty g15 keyboard.
Anyone got experience with the razer ouroboros?
I have a Logitech G5, and have had it for many years. Its an amazing mouse, A+ would recommend to other people.
I also have a Razer Naga, its good for playing games with a micromanaging like Dota or Dawn of War

+1 for this response.
Just use autohotkey for macros.

autohotkey doesn't work for some games, and some even ban for it...
Pick anything, as long as it's comfortable and easy to use (but avoid blowing money on those mice with crazy design slapped onto them)
But you better make use of a mousemat as well
There is a thread for this in Hardware and Software, btw.

That's really lame. You're gonna want a mouse with on board memory I take it? I'm pretty sure logitech and razer offer some decent ones.
A shop that let's you try the mouse would be the best. I picked up my mouse that way, what felt best and fit in my hand just perfectly.
I got this myself:

Not from there, but it has the specifications. I've had it for over a year or so. Better ones are out by now. That one was shaped nicely for me, and the thumb-buttons are positioned just right for me. And it feels like it weighs something, unlike any other mouse I've had.
And you can make macros for it.

It's all up to preference really, I love mid-light mice that allow me to move realllly easy but also don't feel like they'll blow away in the wind. On the other hand, I know someone whose mouse feels like a brick. It all depends on you! Try out a few, make sure you can return it, ask around IRL and try some out if you know anybody who has a high end mouse.
MX518
The Cyborg RAT Series are pretty fucking awesome.
They feel great and have lots of extras.
Either the RAT 7 MMO or RAT 9
I have a Razer mouse and the right mouse button is screwy
go with pretty much anything Logitech
Had an MX518 for about 5 years and upgraded to a Razer Naga recently. Very happy with it. Comes with interchangeable grips incase your a clawer or gripper ect. Can get them pretty cheap these days too.
Deathadder, its what the empire won wars on
