I was told it was healthy

There's a Swedish anti-smoking clinic on minecraft
I hope this spreads, e-cigs should be treated just like cigarettes in the public space.
Ok so I started smoking when I was 19-20 ish. Picked up one of these recently and it's the only thing saving me from spending like $50 on smokes a week.
It's HARDLY the same taste, regardless of the flavour. Successfully switched over like a week ago, from smoking just at home prior for another 2 weeks.
I tried smoking a real cigg yesterday and it was absolutely vile... Nice change.

Why? They have adverts on TV here in the UK for them which is what I disagree with but whats bad about people using them in public places?
I hope this spreads, e-cigs should be treated just like cigarettes in the public space.
Not even, the smoke (vapor) doesn't linger whatsoever
[editline]5th March 2014[/editline]
You've probably never even seen one be used, if you had you would know its nothing like cigarettes
My room mate uses one. He spends $20 on a pack of 5 vials of the liquid and that lasts him like 5 or so months, and he hasn't had any desire to smoke an actual cigarette in a while. My mom and I are really particular about smoking in the house, and we don't even notice the vapor at all. These things are way better than cigarettes in a lot of ways, I really don't think there should be any fuss over them.
Well that's dumb. I don't smoke, I will never smoke, and I don't condone smoking cigarettes in public, but E-Cigs are perfectly fine. Seems like they just want to ban them for the sake of "CIGARETTES R DA DEVIL".

I take it more so it might be because they can't tax E-Cigs like they do standard cigarettes, so they'll make them illegal.
EDIT: They're illegal in most of the places normal cigarettes are here in New York already.
Can someone please explain why this is a good thing?, E-cigs that are based on vegetable glycerin (VG)
Haven't been shown to cause any damage to the person smoking or the people the surround him.
All this will do is make it harder for people to quit.
To try to prevent young video gamers from taking up smoking, a Swedish non-smoking organisation has set up an anti-smoking clinic in the video game Minecraft.
Yes, because logic.
they can't tax E-Cigs like they do standard cigarettes, so they'll make them illegal.
Well shit, I didn't know that, makes a ton of sense.
That's p fucked yo
Why, isn't the secondhand smoke that comes out of e-cigs not dangerous in any shape or form?
This is dumb. I heard that the tobacco industry wants to ban e-cigs because any reasonable man will switch from regular cigarettes to e-cigs.
I myself am I smoker, and yes, I know it's hazardous and I will die earlier than the rest of you, but yet I fucking love nicotine. After e-cigs appeared, I've always wanted to buy one because my flat won't reek of tobacco and I won't be killing everyone around me, including myself. I see no reason for the e-cig ban. It's just dumb.

A lot of guys smoke that shit in the classroom, It's pretty nasty to me, you just dont do that indoors, we have plenty of breaks so why is it so hard to just not wait or is their addiction so crippling they cant even wait 1 1/2 hours? It's fucked up.
Also, read the article, it's even in the first part of the article
Los Angeles City Council has voted to ban the use of electronic cigarettes in the city's restaurants, bars, nightclubs and public spaces.
See, perfectly reasonable, you can still vape or whatever just not in certain areas and that is not so awful is it.
See, perfectly reasonable, you can still vape or whatever just not in certain areas and that is not so awful is it.
E-Cigs don't do any damage to the ceiling, there's no fire hazard, there's no lingering smoke, and it's not a hazard to people around the smoker.
It should be up to the owner, especially for bars and night clubs.
And most of them smell good imo. I welcome people to smoke in my car.

'Public spaces' can mean a lot of things. Including, but not limited to, 'anywhere that isn't a private residence.'

How would you like it if people could smoke those things in say chuck-e-cheese or some place like that? these laws are put in place to protect and prevent people from getting into these sorta habits, if we tell kids its okays to smoke anywhere the idea of smoking as a whole becomes acceptable to them getting more children and young adults into a destructive behaviour.

I'm sorry, but why is it nasty? Its just scented water vapor (not even Cigarette scented) that doesn't linger around like smoke.
Its barely a concern whatsoever. A lot of my friends use them and I doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Yes, because putting tighter restrictions on drugs does that ssoooooooooo well.
Clearly with all of these people smoking pot behind doors, the amount of people smoking pot is almost non-existent.
I hope this spreads, e-cigs should be treated just like cigarettes in the public space.
you do realize ecigs don't make smoke like cigarettes right?
totally different
and you clearly don't know what ecigs are

then don't let them smoke in chuck-e-cheese
is that seriously an argument for treating ecigs like cigs?

They still spreada vapor of nicotine, and that shit is nasty, used as insecticide or am I remembering things wrong?
They still spreada vapor of nicotine, and that shit is nasty, used as insecticide or am I remembering things wrong?
breathing a little nicotine isn't going to give you horrific mutations
I get the feeling that if there is any it's so hyper low that it wouldn't matter anyways
They still spreada vapor of nicotine, and that shit is nasty, used as insecticide or am I remembering things wrong?
you're remembering things wrong
you're remembering things wrong
Quite clearly states that at a lot of different soucres, also when a substance is a full 4 on health on the NFPA-704 I really really dont want it in my system at all. (for reference, chlorine is a 3)

Your really concerned with your health
tell me do you live in an area that has no windwills or wifi networks too?
because there are a billion things that are far worse than ecig water vapor, in fact, the dust in your home and spiders are probably worse.
I have asthma, and I can hang around my friends who use e-cigs perfectly fine. I have never had a reaction from the vapor. Heck, I rarely even smell the vapor.
