Not good.
Instead of exploiting the full power of the PS4 they have to also meet the needs of the PS3, in turn downgrading the overall quality of the PS4 version.
Great!
Now I don't need to buy a PS4!

That's not always the case. FIFA 14 was like a completely new game on the PS4.

I'd assume the PS4 will have some special content that the ps3 won't have, maybe even a graphical advantage. Well, I hope.
The PS3 hardware is pretty limited and outdated, compare to the PS4.

The PS4 version feels like a "HD remake" though, that's the problem because they're going to keep it similar to make it easier to develop for the PS3.
im kinda tired of all these "Next-Gen" titles that still launch on older-gen consoles and end up being downgraded
Sure it looks a bit better on PS4 or whatever but it could have achieved much more if it was aimed to only a next gen console
I really hope they introduce more powerful tools to work with, i had a hard time making something fun/playable in LBP 2.
Oh and they better introduce Stephen Fry again because that man made the game a lot more enjoyable.
[editline]16th June 2014[/editline]
Stephen Fry was just confirmed to be in LBP 3
I feel like I'm the only person that didn't like LBP2 at all. I didn't like the pop-it changes, the way the narratives were told with sackbots, the way the game overall just felt like a damn DLC for LBP1.
LBP1 was amazing. LBP2 was eugh.
Lets hope LBP3 returns to its roots.

I really only play LBP to try out those silly SURVIVE levels and make flying dongs while my friend watches in amusement. Then I make a 2-player flying dong and we control it pretty well. Then we question our existence.

I strongly disagree. The implementation of the controlinator, Sackbots and Microchips were so innovative for level creators that I doubt LBP3 will even come close to matching (other than more than 3 layers).
You could do so much more in LBP2 than LBP allowed you.
aww yeah, was sad that i was gonna miss out on this by not having a PS4
i really hope they fine tune the platforming though, tired of it being all floaty
Honestly I'd only consider getting it if it was as much of a game changer as LBP2, right now the extra 2.5D and Swoop ft. the others aren't enough to justify another game.

I am just waiting out for videos/info about the editor, i mean i was kinda sad that i could not create levels just like the campaign.

It didn't look all that improved, graphically speaking from the second LBP during the gameplay at E3 to be fair.
Not unless that was PS3 footage.

We've only seen a glimpse of the game so far, and who knows what the community can come up with? They've made some extremely creative and crazy levels in the past and three new characters should be enough to set everyone's brains in motion.
The game doesn't need to look much better, LBP2 already looked fantastic. I'd like to see it's extra power being used for larger levels, more complex objects, and better optimisation.
I skipped out on the second game, didn't think it looked that different from the first; at least not enough to justify a purchase. I'll definitely get this one though.
They didn't mention it during the press conference but this isn't being developed by Media Molecule (the devs of the last LBP games). It's being developed by [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sumo_Digital]Sumo Digital[/url], developers of classic titles such as Disney's A Christmas Carol, Hasbro Family Game Night 3, Xbox Fitness, and Nike+ Kinect Training.

Both the games are just kinda "meh". They're not really bad but I don't see what the fuss is about.

Sumo Digital's also been working on LBP2 for over a year now, in co-operation with xdev, who've been helping MM since the start. And all of the DLCs for LBP2 recently have been awesome, so I see no problems with this.
[editline]17th June 2014[/editline]
and as somebody who's never stopped playing the game since it came out, i can confirm that SD are jsut as good at making LBP as MM is
Sony needs a system seller
and what do they do? they get rid of a potential system seller.
good job sony
Yea LBP3 being ps4 exclusive would sell ps4s. LBP1 is why I got a PS3 in the first place.
They could've utilized the PS4's hardware so well too as an exclusive. So many limitations could've been broken.
Is that why the demo for LBP3 looked considerably worse (graphics-wise) than the gameplay video for Yoshi's Woolly World?
