If you're on a laptop, try reseating the keyboard. take it out, make sure there's no shit in the connectors, then hooking it back up
If that doesn't work, use another keyboard until you can figure out what's wrong

I just got the laptop.
ALL HP pavilions are this way. There's nothing physically wrong with the thing, it's a system thing.
