I recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate x64, and one problem I've noticed several times is that, on a random occasion, my sound goes completely haywire until I restart. Basically, it either slows down and voices sound extremely deep/slow, or they speed up and everything sounds "chipmunkish" and crackly.
Is this a setting due to hardware acceleration or something-or-other that I should fix, or do I need to download a new Realtek codec or driver? I had a CD for my ASUS P5Q board that came with drivers, but they aren't compatible with Windows 7 so I have no idea what I should install (besides my Nvidia Control Panel, I havn't installed any drivers yet).
Do you have on-board sounds?Or a sound card?
I have integrated sound, if that's what you mean. No dedicated soundcard.
Try seeing if your motherboard manufacturer has released windows 7 drivers.
