• Texture Mash-Up in several Games

Hi, this is my first post in this section of Facepunch, and I hope you can assist me in solving this higly annoying problem. Quite a few of my games (such as: Bionic Commando, Borderlands and Serious Sam HD to name a few) have suffered from "texture mash-up": The sound and main menu are fine. But the rest is trippy, and makes the game unplayable. All the other games (like the ones named above) have the same problem. I've tried: - Reinstalling the games - Reinstalling DirectX - Reinstalling ATI drivers I also googled a bit, and came to the conclusion that it could be ATI Tray Tools (this is correct, I had it on my PC, I deinstalled it, didn't work. I also tweaked some settings with ATI Tray Tools) or the BIOS. Please help! [editline]06:58PM[/editline] It's working agian; setting ATI Catalyst AI to low solves the problem. Lock this topic.
I would say that it is probably due to your drivers, but I doubt that a game as recent as Borderlands would have that problem. Wouldn't uninstalling ATI Tray Tools be uninstalling a part of the drivers? Also, what GPU do you have? For all we know, it might not even support DX 9 (assuming that's what those games require; the Source engine can run on DX8 as I recall).

Catalyst AI is a dynamic overclocking thing right? The texture corruption is probably due to the card overheating to be honest, get some compressed air and give your computer a good clean too.
