Here are my specs CPU: Phenom II X3 3.0GHz CPU Heatsink: Its good, it keeps my CPU at 40c at full load. GPU: Nvidia 9800GTX+ Superclocked PSU: Corsair 650W MB: Asus M3A78-EM AMD 780G RAM: 2 x 2GB Corsair XMS2 DDR2 800Mhz Case: Thermal-take V9 Black Edition OS: Windows 7 Mouse & Keyboard: They are Logitech, but I can't find the name of them. But they are fine. For games, I got all the valve games already. I only buy from newegg.com Also if you find a air conditioner that can fit on a tall window for under $160, that would be awesome.
Buy better/more RAM.
how much are 9800gtx+ now? [editline]07:39PM[/editline]
Buy better/more RAM.
him ram is fine [editline]07:39PM[/editline] never mind that mobo isnt sli
I would love sli :( but I wish my motherboard had another PCI-E slot.
Could get another 2gb ram.
If i have a 3rd ram and do not have a 4th one in, I will loose my dual channel.
If i have a 3rd ram and do not have a 4th one in, I will loose my dual channel.
Get 2x 1GB ram?
Get 2x 1GB ram?
That will work :P But I only have 4GB of ram, do I really need anymore?
That will work :P But I only have 4GB of ram, do I really need anymore?
They're reading it as 2GB ram instead of 2x2GB, no you don't need more ram.
I have the same ram and it's fine. What's your setup as far as audio? What about your monitor? I guess I'd just save it.

I'd save up.
5770? And you might as well overclock your CPU.
5770?
not worth it

You can hit 3.4GHz STOCK on the Phenom II X3 and you could go higher on the 9800 if you get a heatsink. If you don't feel confident in overclocking, then just save up and get a new GPU

You should save your money, rather wait to have something better than buy something unnecessary now.
5770
5770
That's a horrible recommendation, do you know the benchmark comparison between a 9800GTX+ and a 5770? The 5770 is only very slightly better than the GTS 250 (rebranded 9800GTX+).

In most games, the 5770 runs atleast 10-15 fps faster than the GTS 250 in 1680x1050 where both run around the 50 - 60 fps mark. That is a 20% increase. The gap increases if you add in antialiasing. In very graphics taxing games( crysis), the difference is smaller, 3-5 fps, but both cards run low fps, where any even 2 or 3 fps can mean the difference between smooth gameplay or noticeable lag.

Headphones, AD700's would be nice and around 40-50 bucks left over.
Not worth $160 for 10 fps.
20% increase is huge, especially with higher and higher tier cards
Save, it's not worth it right now. You'll just end up buying something shitty and regretting it later. edit:
A better video card would be good you could get a nice gts 250 1 gb I buy only from newegg as well here you go enjoy http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130514
GTS 250 is a rebranded 9800GTX+. You're telling him to buy his own video card again.

Should I get the Phenom II X4 3.0Ghz C3 95W?
Get another monitor if you do anything productive. If it's just for gaming don't do it.
Buy better/more RAM.
More ram ? No. Better ram ? maybe.
More ram ? No. Better ram ? maybe.
Yeah, clock speed makes more difference than more RAM.
