I'm thinking of replacing my ATI 4850 with a new card, i've looked at the XFX Radeon HD 5870 1GB GDDR5 and the MSI GeForce GTX 470 1280MB PhysX CUDA. I'll gladly take any suggestions. Making this thread because i got no idea what card is the best.
I would take the HD 5870 less heat, less power needed

+1, and there's more performance. But, depending on where you live, the 470 could be cheaper.
I bought the XFX 5870 (with a i5-750) and it's... nothing short of incredible. It goes all the way with both Just Cause 2 and Crysis Warhead.
I've just built it a month ago, so I'm working on other games to benchmark.
you could get the GTX 465, if you overclock it you could get a really nice performance out of it, comparable to the 5850+
460 is coming out in a few days, could wait and see how well it is.
But of a 5870 v 480 I would suggest the 5870.
i would upgrade mine from the intergrated one i have got but i dont know if it would work because its a small pc, its an acer aspire ax1300 if you can help

Awesome, just ordered this card, same CPU too!
The 5870 isn't really worth it, more the 5850, you can overclock that to 5870 speeds
