• Laptop Won't Charge!

It seems whenever I unplug my laptop charger it turns off and it won't charge, also I have to hold the charger so it won't turn off. I know one reason why it won't charge is because their is a loose wire but ever since my laptops been like that. Do I need to get a new battery or a charger? Help!
Slowly rotate the cord when it's plugged into your laptop. There may be contact problems between the charger end and the female end of the laptop. When you're computer is on, do you get any fatal battery errors? If you have a loose wire, I'd suggest buying a new charger. Laptop warranty might cover a new battery depending on how well you can sell your problem to a service rep.
new laptop or do what i did: Rip it apart and resolder it myself.

RMA it
Did you rotate the cord where it connects to the laptop? Do this until you see the charging light come on. If it doesn't, it's probably your battery. However, you stated you have a loose wire in the charger? 'The battery won't charge either' is pretty much the issue here, right? If you're desperate and want to save some money, buy a cheap charger before replacing the battery. If your battery has failed entirely, many times you'll see an error when you're plugged in, that says something like '"Battery has reached its maximum charge capacity and will no longer function properly, consider replacing this part". You don't need a new laptop. Check your warranty, make some calls and move on.
