My buddy bought a retail copy of Portal 2. After installing it he tries to run it and it'll get up to the valve logo and then it'll crash to desktop and give him this error message:
serverGameDLL-> DLLInit() failed.
He's running Windows XP SP3.
He's tried doing the verify game integrity and all of that jazz and Steam will say it has repaired a couple of files but it still crashes and gives the same error message when he runs the game.
Anybody have a clue as to whats going on?
