How do I change the voltage for my CPU on an OEM PC?
Bios?
You mean like a Dell or HP?
Yes, an eMachines (C2D I'm trying to OC).

I was told the same thing about OC'ing my CPU, yet I'm here at 2.4ghz instead of 2.0. I need a voltage adjustment, and I'm pretty sure it can be done through software.
if you want to OC or change voltages ect, best do it in the BIOS, and dont run the risk of flashing
Did you read the OP?
Did you read the OP?
Yes, you have to change it in the BIOS.
There's no software that does it? I mean, software can change your FSB and everything, why not voltage? And I asked if he read it because it's an OEM PC. [editline]11:12PM[/editline] Locked BIOS.
If you cant get into the bios (and don't care about your warranty) open up the case and look for a set of jumpers that says BIOS next to it (http://www.dewassoc.com/support/bios/bios_password.htm) If not, then you simply cant overclock it.
The MOBO is an OEM, and there is no option to enter any passwords. :x Software, plox?
There is no software that supports voltage adjustment on Socket 775 Intel motherboards. If you had something like a 780i you'd be in luck, since it has pretty much every BIOS option available through software. Unless the motherboard vendor has released specific software for it, there is no software that does it. Software FSB adjustment is done through accessing the PLL chip, which controls the FSB frequency. PLL chips are pretty standard across most motherboards, the voltage control circuitry isn't. This is why the motherboard vendor must release the software, because they're the ones who knows how their motherboard works.
Thanks for explaining that all to me. Is there any sort of update that any of you are aware of for the nForce 610i?
Its possible the manufacturer released a BIOS update for it, in which case you should check their website to see if they do.
