Hey Fast Threads, I've been looking for some late 20th century to early 21st century RTS's I already have World in Conflict, which is 1980's, but I'm looking for something a little better then that. Please and Thank you.
That would be boring to play.
:colbert: So? If that's your opinion go ahead.
I always thought C&C Generals was fun
I don't think there is anything mainstream that has modern units and technologies that also has decent game play. You could probably find some mods for Company of Heroes or something.
:smith: Guess I'll wait for Men of War: Vietnam Thats as close to modern that I'm gonna get to besides WIC
C&C generals has lots of mods for it, I bet there's one for more modern armies. The game itself is modern anyways.
Act of War: Direct Action & High Treason Brilliant modern warfare RTS that's criminally underrated.
Natural Selection 2 when it's fully released.
I haven't played it in a while, but I think Rise of Nations has the modern era. I remember I'd get way past my enemies and start nuking them while they're still in the medieval age.
Company of Heroes?
Act of War: Direct Action & High Treason Brilliant modern warfare RTS that's criminally underrated.
This man speaks the brilliant truth. Act of War games are what Generals should have been all along (Generals was even supposed to get Combatant Capture mechanics in Zero Hour). Seriously, it's worthy AT LEAST for the awesome campaign that plays like a movie as well as providing a great challenge, without being too hard.
