• Need help identifying a moth

I live in Gresham, Oregon, and last night, I was in bed reading, and I heard this strange sound. It was a kind of scratching sound, like the way the corner of a piece of paper sounds as it is slowly being scraped along drywall. I dismissed it as one of the posters on my wall settling. Then I heard the noise again, and it lasted for a good 10 seconds. I looked up and I saw this large moth circling my light. I am deathly afraid of large insects, so naturally I jumped the fuck out of bed and ran into the hallway. It landed on my wall, and it's wings were spread open. From what I remember, when it's wings were stretched, it looked more like this The shape of it when the wings were closed looked more like this than like this When the wings were closed, they were almost black, and when they were open, I think I saw orange. I can't remember. Thanks.
It looks like a moth. [editline]04:34PM[/editline] Come to think of it, I actually think it isnt a moth. Have you checked the front and is there any sibilance to a normal moth?
Well the strange thing is that I could hear it's fucking wings flapping. I've never had that happen before.
What now?
get postal in this bitch
Well, from careful examination, and from the careful comparing of other insect species, I have finally come to my triumphant conclusion. It is a moth.
Oh that's Charlie. Say hi to him for me, will you?
He's part of postal's army [editline]06:46PM[/editline] Just recon don't worry
