Simple yes or no, don't say prebuilts are bad, im fully aware, this is for someone who would not be able to build a computer for themselves, and i'm not going through the pain of building one, and getting the items for them.

Intel Core i7-870 2.9ghz quad
6gb ddr3 ram
1tb 7200rpm
ATI Radeon HD 5570 Series, 1gb ddr3
windows 7 home
21.5" screen
I think so.
Fucking yes.
is this a troll thread because even with the new engine update in cataclysm, specs for ultra graphics are still quite low.
and yes ofc it will run
No, this is NOT a troll thread, I am not familiar with ATI cards before the HD 5750 and I was 100% sure.
Yes, no doubt
5570 isn't that strong... especially since the DX11 update.
my 5770 can barely handle the shitty shadow job on WoW, if you keep the shadows on low then yes.
CPU: Yes
RAM: Yes
HDD: Yes
GPU: Yes, My friend has that GPU and he can

WOW is like the lowest gpu needing game after runescape

Minecraft :smug:
:D
nope, minecraft tends to lag badly on my laptops integrated intel GPU(~5fps), but back in the days I played wow(last year) that didn't lagg at all.(~30fps)
i Suppose
At low resolution, maybe, but a 5570 is pretty bad, the new water and shadows are pretty intense. 90% of people in this thread don't know what they're talking about. My brother has trouble maxing WoW with his 9800 GT at 1080p.

The CPU is bottlenecking MC, not your GPU.

The "Screen" certainly makes a difference. Higher resolutions are much harder to run at.

He didn't specify the resolution. It being 21.5" changes nothing.

Click the link, then?

Are you joking? Resolution makes a huge difference.

That's a pretty easily inferred detail. Most people would be using 1920x1080
Really, OP, if you don't want to build, there are still better options. You don't need an i7, really, I'm sure there are i5 builds with better GPUs for a better price.

:L THE SCREEN SIZE does not change anything. he did not SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE RESOLUTION. phhhft.

Then click the link. It's not that difficult.
It will work fine, just turn down the shadows because the WoW engine tends to favor nvidia cards in that department (I have no idea why)

My 5770 runs WoW with everything maxed out with 50-400 FPS. :raise:
What's your CPU?
Why is it that prebuilts come with powerful-ass processors, but shitty-ish GPUs?
RixxzIV im kinda new but i thought you were a gold member?
Why is it that prebuilts come with powerful-ass processors, but shitty-ish GPUs?
because most people don't game and have no need for a high end GPU
Wow will run fucking great on that.
If you keep the shadow settings on fair then yes.

AMD PHII 965
When I did try and use it it kept dipping below 30FPS and it was quite bothersome, I was in grizzly hills, didn't try it anywhere else though, but I will sometime.

That's quite odd. I've got an Intel Core i5 750, and seeing as our CPU's are pretty much the same, performance wise, I'd recommend you to check the temperature of your GPU.
[editline]27th December 2010[/editline]
Well, I've got my GPU core clocked up to 960 MHz, but that wouldn't make that much of a difference.
Why the hell would you even need 6GB of ram for something that is most likely just for basic gaming?
4GB is enough and you dont need an i7, just get an i5 build with with a better gpu.

I have no problems with WoW running with maxed settings. i7 + 5770
I did have a problem some time back. When i ran youtube, it raped my FPS in games. I had to disable a setting within the flash player plugin.
