Literally 12 minutes ago I finished installing b12. Great timing Mozilla.
I wonder how many release candidates there will be. :v:
I wonder how many release candidates there will be. :v:
I expect at least 20.
Firefox for Media Access Control.

Took your sweet time there Mozilla
Err, how about a changelog in OP? Or anything but just download links?
>nightly
I wish....
For the novelty of running it on the silicon graphics box you have? how does that match up to a normal computer nowadays?
I found this hilarious. I was just reading the beta 12 thread. Stuff like this is why I don't install betas. Builds up the tension for the release, too, which gives me something to be excited about.
Will it overwrite my beta installation?
Isn't this a candidate for Release Candidate? :v: It's not on FF4 Beta page and url path says it's a candidate.
OP, what's with you and Firefox updates?
Firefox is now trying to rip chrome off as well?
I am back on chrome already because I found firefox slower
I am back on chrome already because I found firefox slower
well
of COURSE
firefox is slower, but it's still awesome
well
of COURSE
firefox is slower, but it's still awesome
Look, I don't mean to derail the topic, but am I the only person who saw no speed difference whatsoever? Both were about the same speed, and if they were faster, I couldn't notice it. [editline]5th March 2011[/editline] Also, I hate the mess of browsers that gets created when I install betas or RCs, so unless this one gets to overlap my current 3.6 install, guess I'm gonna wait for the new hotness.
Firefox/chrome should be offered to schools, im sick of IE
Firefox is now trying to rip chrome off as well?
Not sure why everyone says that, I'm pretty sure mockups of FF4 were around since before Chrome was out
Firefox/chrome should be offered to schools, im sick of IE
offered? the hell do you mean? Can't they just install them? [editline]6th March 2011[/editline]
Not sure why everyone says that, I'm pretty sure mockups of FF4 were around since before Chrome was out
you really think so?
offered? the hell do you mean? Can't they just install them?
Most establishments don't know they exist. Most also refuse to install them because IE also works as a deterrent to viewing sites you shouldn't be, for example facebook and youtube struggle to work in IE6 and don't work at all in IE5.
Why is there discussion about Firefox ripping Chrome off? Based on its looks alone you would think there would be more Firefox / Opera discussion. I don't see how Firefox is ripping off Chrome.

And although they have IE as default browser, it's ok to install FF or chrome. There's portable versions of them, if installing stuff is not allowed. [editline]6th March 2011[/editline] also such programs are pointless when you know about proxies :downs:
Does anybody know what the status is with addons?
Firefox is now trying to rip chrome off as well?
If you're going to talk about that, then you must know that all modern browsers ripped off tabbed browsing from mozilla 0.9.5.
If you're going to talk about that, then you must know that all modern browsers ripped off tabbed browsing from mozilla 0.9.5.
Wasn't Opera the first browser with tabs?
Look, I don't mean to derail the topic, but am I the only person who saw no speed difference whatsoever? After they've loaded though, there's virtually no difference. As for my desktop, it's pretty much the same. So I use Firefox on this.
If you're going to talk about that, then you must know that all modern browsers ripped off tabbed browsing from mozilla 0.9.5.
What are you talking about? Mozilla 0.9.5 was in 2001. Tabbed browsing came out 4-5 years before that.
