So, I've been using a GeForce 8600 GTS with 256 RAM for about 2 years now. Lately I've been having these problems where I would be playing a game, and then the textures would get fucked up. What I'm talking about is the wrong textures would be placed in the wrong places. One example, in DoD:S, instead of my VAC shield picture, it comes up with a picture of a rifleman. It also happens in GTA:SA. With games like L4D2 and Prototype it just crashes though.
I've switched to a Quadro 570 for now, but do you guys think you could diagnose the problem?
Dust; bad thermal paste; insufficient cooling; update drivers
Note these are not in order.
I know source games have a bug where peoples avatars become achievments etc, but i don't know about GTA:SA

Well, when I looked at it, it was pretty dusty. I'll try brush it off and see if that works.
