So i was using my computer as normal, restarted my computer windows sayd it would restartin 2 days to install an update all good But when it restarted i was stuck in my user screen with the text " please wait " after a while the screen just turned black and i could only see my mouse and nothing else if i ctrl alt supr and click on change user the screen would repeat itself until i hard restarted my computer and hoping it wouldnt get stuck there again this is the second time i have issues with window updates it installs "updates" that end up fucking my computer... and when i open my task manager it closes itself, i gotta open it a second time for it to properly open
Be careful with driver updates through Windows update, usually they only come through optional updates which you would have to select yourself but I think there might still be a possibility that they could come through the normal ones. In any case, you should be able to boot in safe mode and run system restore to a day before the updates were installed
if lets say i have downloaded a file Today , if i do a system restore to an earlier date would the sayd file be deleated?
No, your files stay as they are when you do system restore to a earlier date, system restore only affects the OS files.
Ah in that case ill do it right now thanks!
Although if you installed a program, it would be reverted to before you installed it. Just sayin'.

Personally I say it has been a good OS, but in a year (14 april, microsoft already pinned the date), XP will be officially unsupported. So you better haul ass.

People consider it "out-dated" but actually, the new windows is just a test puppy. And you're the guinea pigs.[/QUOTE] He's 11 years old (or well, at least so he says). He still uses Firefox (Which has gotten horribly unstable over the years). And his computer is incredibly outdated. He heard a few bugs on Windows 8 and assumes it's horrible. Besides, Windows XP has been nothing but driver errors and BSOD's for me.

Nor I have problems with Windows 8, or I did but can't remember them. Might consider trying Windows 8 on my gaming computer. [editline]17th April 2013[/editline] But as for Firefox, I must agree it's unstable. Sometimes I browse around on my father's computer which runs Windows Vista, and has Firefox set as his main browser. When I even type a URL Windows freezes and the internal speaker beeps because I overstress it. That is just rediculous, is it?
One of my friends had to uninstall Firefox because it just became so slow. At first they thought their computer was slow but once they changed to Chrome everything was fine
Well for one, Firefox has been incredibly stable for me. My OS choice is mine, so if you don't like it, that's your problem then, if all you're going to do is sit there are talk some shit. Another thing, Killervalon, telling people I claimed I was 11, is really retarded of you. A form of "look at me, I'm better than him" which ultimately, is jackassery. And you sir are the biggest jackass on the internet I've ever had communications with. You dumbasses obviously don't know HOW to keep a computer running stable. My computer is considerably old, using an older OS, and the only problems I've had were caused by ME either installing a dual-boot linux, or installing a bunch of bullshit. Either way, I keep my computer clean and running great. Not sure why you hipsters are hating on firefox, after all it's what I use, and I don't have bugs or errors or crashes or freezing. The internal speaker? LMFAO!!!!! Damn the last computer I had with an internal speaker was so old, it has a Pentium 3 755Mhz with 256mb of RAM and an onboard GPU which sucked huge ass.

If you really are eleven as you said, then you have some things to learn. At that point you might think you're better than others, probaly seeing that you're almost as good as other people, where you in fact are NOT. You might seem like you're the king of the hill, but after some years - you see that... Hey, you're not. As much as you might seem like it's degrading, then yes. It may be, but you're probaly going to understand it in a few years anyway. Behaviour changes mister. BUT, if we have a look at 'your' facebook, as it may or may not be. Then you're clearly older. But you should really learn to relax, listen to others. Hear what they have to say, if you can then try it out. And then judge us. You sound ALMOST like the people who say Mac is shit. And if you refuse to see how unstable and unreliable Windows XP and Firefox have become, then you're ignorant. If you haven't tried something newer, then why should it be better? That's the whole tractor story all over again.

I believe their products are limited by their idea that the consumer is an idiot. No I get the idea "one hardware per generation, makes developing a lot easier" but where's the fun in developing if it gets easy? Apple seems to have the ideology that easy is better than a challenge. But if we are never challenged, then we never grow. I'm an Android>iOS and PC>Mac any day person. Although the only thing I do what an iPad for is the app Cubasis. If it were available on android I would not want anything apple for any reason, but I do want an iPad for that Apple Store "only" app. This thread has been so derailed.
