People still play the PS3? I've been an avid PS gamer since the PS1 and even i've abandoned that hunk of junk since it got the YLOD.
People still play the PS3? I've been an avid PS gamer since the PS1 and even i've abandoned that hunk of junk since it got the YLOD.
I love my PS3
People still play the PS3?
People still drive old cars?
One reason? It would help dampen excitement for Nintendo's new console, Wii U.
So a budget version of an existing console is supposed to 'dampen excitement' for a brand new one? If you honestly truly believe this, you are seriously fucking delusional.
People still play the PS3? I've been an avid PS gamer since the PS1 and even i've abandoned that hunk of junk since it got the YLOD.
After seeing the direction the 360 is going, I've been thinking about getting a PS3. 360 has no games.
I'll just stick to my backwards-compatible fat PS3, thank you! Thermal paste and all has been replaced, so no real worries about YLOD, either.
People still play the PS3? I've been an avid PS gamer since the PS1 and even i've abandoned that hunk of junk since it got the YLOD.
Of course. Free networking and the fact that it doubles as a pretty nice media center makes it pretty attractive to people beyond gamers as well. Protip: Do what I did. When you get a console of any kind, take it apart (reccomended that you wait for the warranty to go out) and replace the cheap stock thermal paste with Arctic Silver. Boom, you pushed that YLOD day back quite a bit.
Smartphones and pads are the future of gaming all true gamers know that :downs:
People still play the PS3? I've been an avid PS gamer since the PS1 and even i've abandoned that hunk of junk since it got the YLOD.
Oh please, if everyone abandoned the 360 every time one RROD'd, there would quite literally be no-one playing it anymore. The PS3's YLOD is quite rare from what I can tell. Hell, I've got a 1st gen PS3 that has never had ANY error except for when the new hard drive I installed failed. The original still does work.
People still play the PS3? I've been an avid PS gamer since the PS1 and even i've abandoned that hunk of junk since it got the YLOD.
It's the only console I own. Since, you know, the Xbox has a fucking subscription fee just for online.
I don't play consoles but I did buy a PS3 because for me it has the only decent exclusives. However I feel that anyone who would want one has one by now.
People still play the PS3? I've been an avid PS gamer since the PS1 and even i've abandoned that hunk of junk since it got the YLOD.
Uuuuuh. Its a current gen console. People play it if they have horrible computer (like me). Oh yeah and trophies.
lol it still doesn't even has usb ports on the back of it
So a budget version of an existing console is supposed to 'dampen excitement' for a brand new one? It makes a person ask themselves; "Do I want a PS3 for X dollars, or spend the extra cash for a WiiU?" [editline]24th July 2012[/editline] Though I'm a dedicated PC fan at heart, $150 for something like the PS3 is really impressive. I might even pick one up for some of the exclusives.
"Super Slim", huh. Can it play ps3 games? Or did they get rid of that compatibility too.
People still play the PS3? I've been an avid PS gamer since the PS1 and even i've abandoned that hunk of junk since it got the YLOD.
People still act like shitposters? [sub][sub][sub]see what i did there[/sub][/sub][/sub]
Hopefully this happens, I've been wanting a PS3 for years and never got it due to it's price. Once I do, I'll have every console this generation...right as the next one starts.
For $150 I might get one some day, this isn't bad, shame the PS3 has some backwards compatibility issues.
"Super Slim", huh. Can it play ps3 games? Or did they get rid of that compatibility too.
Are you trying to out-stupid Sainus or something? Seriously, what the fuck is this post? Anyway, this could be good news for me if this exists and releases soon. My 40GB Fat PS3 died after 5 years of service. And I don't really want to try and fix a YLoD myself without re-balling the chips (because reflowing is for suckers). [editline]24th July 2012[/editline] Kinda looks like the fat and slim had a intersize baby. Oh christ that's a weird shape.
But I just brought one for $200!
This is great for those who wants to play the PS3 exclusives but don't want to shell out too much. I don't see a problem here.
People still play the PS3? I wish I had a PS3 to chill on the couch playing something with a buttload of comfort. [editline]24th July 2012[/editline]
Smartphones and pads are the future of gaming all true gamers know that :downs:
I die and laugh a little inside whenever someone says that :v: Its just bloody ridiculous. (just my opinion guys)
My sister wanted a PSP for her birthday last time, which is the first time I got into contact with consoles and stuff. Dear lord there's a customer-unfriendly number of versions available. Just give me the console that's cheapest and has what it takes to play the current games and strip the friggin gimmicks. It's like PC gaming where you need to buy stuff, then make a Steam account, then download Steam, then activate on Steam, then install peripherals like the latest Direct X, then make a UbiSoft account, then launch uPlay, then update that, then update the game through uPlay, then log into uPlay, then set uPlay and Steam to offline, then start the game, then wait through unskippable intros #1-5 until you can finally be railroaded through the cutscenes and tutorials until you can really start. No wonder people are so drawn to the simplicity of indie titles and gog.
It kind of pisses me off that they would rather spend money on R&D on slimming down the current consoles, rather than actually create something new, more powerful, and actually competitive. Consoles are frozen in time in terms of hardware. It's kind of stupid.
Are you trying to out-stupid Sainus or something? Seriously, what the fuck is this post?
No not really. I was hinting at the dickmove Sony pulled when they cut off the backwards compatibility for ps2 games.
No not really. I was hinting at the dickmove Sony pulled when they cut off the backwards compatibility for ps2 games.
If they kept the backwards compatibility then the PS3 wouldn't be as powerful as it is now. Plus a PS2 at a local gamestop is only $50.
Isn't $150 really cheap for an blu ray player ?
wall of truth
Yep I hate how steam makes me re-install directx/redist packages/framework even though I ALREADY HAVE THEM. Why not give intelligent users a option for that sheesh.
