They realise its dying and people are not coming back but hey its their fault. I even gave them 3 months time they screwed it up even more no thanks nobody is going to play this anymore.
Meanwhile WoW is opening more servers, hiring more developers, and gaining more subscribers. Guess Blizzard got the last laugh.

Blizzard can "not do very well" for a long time untill they have to fire devs.
A new mmo team can not.
they are necessary as we begin the implementation of a new strategy designed to strengthen our footing as a leader in global entertainment.
lol

Wait, are they opening more servers? I mean, some current one are insanely bare as is.
Hoping it goes f2p at one point but not to the crazy extent that Old Republic did, cos right now this game is dying at a dramatic rate

I don't know why people say this. TOR has a steady 800k people playing it and they're making money off subs and the cash shop. Star Wars alone with make sure some people pay for a game, even a really mediocre MMO.

I mean crazy extent as in the amount of features they removed unless you had a subscription because lol
paying to sprint...
I alway had a bad feeling about this game after i tried the beta.
I adored the graphics, art style, and the fucking animation when it came to certain cutscenes and trailers.
But shit man, this game went down the tubes fast.
I alway had a bad feeling about this game after i tried the beta.
Yeah, the beta did pretty much the exact opposite of sell me on it.

I just like taking jabs at the game bragging about being an "evolution" of WoW and, when pressed for why they would go with a subscription fee in 2014, said "Because our game will be that good".

The first 20 or 25 levels are terrible and then you start fighting enemies that you actually have to dodge from and you have more skills than AOE #1 and AOE #2.
Leveling actually wasn't too terrible after that. It's just that you got to 50 and couldn't do anything because of a myriad of serious design flaws.
It was fucking grindy, that's what turned me off. Everything about it was spot on, but the griiiiiiind

The combat system I'll admit was nice, but since the quests were still very generic MMO you were basically putting in twice the effort for the same payoff.
One month ago I said to myself, I'd try it again after a few months of WoD, this past week showed me that the entire company is incompetent, they kept open a one-way transfer on the EU PVP server to PVE, but not the other way around, what this signaled is that everyone should move to the PVE server, leaving the PVP server pretty much dead in the water, I'm on that server, and by the time I planned to return those free transfers will be gone.
I could forgive them for everything else, but not this, they fucked up. And I honestly don't see them fixing it without merging the PVP and PVE server, which I don't mind, but I doubt they'll do it.
So far in the 26 page thread that's on the forums has been ignored.
"Devs are listening" Yeah right.

I agree with you. I think that's why ArenaNet is doing very well. They dared to innovate, and their microtransaction system is something you kinda want to spend money on.
I love my aviator glasses.
I'm still waiting on them to drop that dreaded subscription. It was my main deterrent from playing at launch, and it's my main deterrent from playing now.
They killed City of Heroes, and they'll kill this too
