I still have a hard time believing this is in Source. The visuals are just really impressive.

I only realized that Payday and Payday 2 are Source games recently, I thought they were UT3 powered.

but neither are source engine games...
nor are they UT3 powered, actually
It's starting to look less like Call of Duty so now I'm more interested.
It's for PC yeah? I hope it has Hammer for it.
Either way, definitely getting it.
Wow, that looks like a lot of fun. It's like a much more mobile version of FEAR 2's multiplayer

I was lied to!

FEAR in general had really fun multiplayer. I remember me and some friends were running a server out of the computer lab at our college and we started a small, competitive league which eventually involved eight other clans that were active at the time. :v: Fun times.
I loved that you can hop onto the backs of friendly titans and act as another gunner for them. Would make for some fun teamplay with friends.
I don't remember the last time I got excited watching game play demos.
Looks like Brink if it actually worked and Blacklight if it had useful mech suits. I'm totally pumped for this!

Wikipedia says it's a customized version of Source. I don't know if that means it's on another branch like L4D was or if it means that it's based on Source but very different.
I just hope that it doesn't suffer from map size problems like the current Source does.

umm source games don't suffer from map size problems as long as you're not playing GMOD and building stuff that goes above the engine's speed limit
[editline]22nd August 2013[/editline]
it does suffer from long loading times between those maps though

what??? when did this ever look like call of duty??
I fucking LOVE it when the Titan comes down. Looks freaking amazing!

Those are precisely the map size problems I'm talking about. What's wrong with wanting more area?
THAT is source?? holy shit I had no idea. looks damn fun as well.
So it has freerunning, jetpacks and mechs. It's like all my favorite things at one place.
I'm still kinda skeptical since it's infinity ward (Respawn Entertainment but it's the same people) developing it

It's the people from Infinity Ward that made CoD2, CoD4, and MW2.

The last game the people from Respawn made in the COD series was MW2.
This game looks fucking awesome by the way.

I'd be cautious, I mean you know what other pre-release game looked like Brink if it actually worked? Brink.
Seriously though this does look fun.
This game looks fun, but 50€ is way more than I'm willing to spend on that kind of multiplayer game. Especially if I'm then unable to join half the servers because I didn't buy all the 15€ map packs (I'm sure there will be map packs). If it was priced like, say, Natural Selection 2 it would be more reasonable. Also I don't really want to have to use Origin.
Considering its running on source we shouldn't have any worries about the port/optimisation, source and hopefully even if it isn't shipped with mod tools we'll be able to modify the regular hammer in some way to accommodate the maps, ala quake maps in hammer 3.5
