I'm actually interested in the getting the game now, but I have a feeling that when I do Battlefield 5 (or whatever name they decide on) will appear next year and whisk the entire community away.

The game is actually pretty cool, I'd say it's better than BF3. It feels more like BF2 I think.
I wasn't actually even going to buy BF4, but fucking hell I accidentally bought BF4 Premium so in the end I felt I had to get the base game.
If only this game had a 3 year development cycle rather than 2.

I love BF4, with the recent netcode fixes the gameplay feels a lot more smoother. It's a shame that the game is kinda hard to enjoy without premium, since there aren't that many servers with vanilla left.
The game has a really extensive customization system.

I wanted to buy Battlefield 4 when it went on sale last time, but I figured pretty much everyone is going to be playing with the premium maps, so I stayed away from it. It's just too expensive for me right now.
I believe with the fixes, and everything that BF4 has gone through, it could be fairly fun. Sadly, the pricetag without a sale on both Premium/BF4 is too much for my wallet.

The way they've handled this it almost counts as an early access title.
i miss mod support :( i still play mods of battlefield 2 to this day
I want to buy it, but I have had bad experiences with the trial time. The game kept stopping, not entirely but enough to make it very unpleasant. When the game isn't stopped, I get about 40-50 fps. I was impressed by what of the maps I saw, but I couldn't play them worth a shit.
Trigger Delay: Removed from all revolvers
This is gonna be pretty sweet.
I'm really glad they removed the revolver trigger delay. Maybe now it'll be a match for the Deagle.

Project Reality is still pretty active.

The Deagle is also getting a series of nerfs

Wrong
I had lots of fun with BF4 basic, the switch to premium sure added some more options, but it's usually down to vanilla maps

I can't believe it took that long for them to do this. Wasn't everyone complaining about it from day fuck one?

Did you do the same thing I did
I played the beta (less buggy than retail somehow) and loved it
When the beta ended this thing popped up and was like BUY IT NOW RIGHT NOW YOU SLAVE TO CAPITALISM
And I was like ALRIGHT LETS DO THIS and they sold me the Premium pass and not the actual game
I am an idiot
