As the title suggests when i start up any game thats the slightest graphically demanding my computer's screen turns into pixels (usually pink or green) and crashes , so far i have tried: - Reinstalling drivers - Restarting the computer - Reformatting and reinstalling the computer OS I have also looked around the internet for any possible solution but it seems nobody knows whats wrong Ill post a picture in a moment Oh and the computer usually started working after a restart but in the last couple of days it didnt fix itself Heres the picture:
Which GPU do you have. Perhaps it's overheating (unlikely, but worth checking). Download HWmonitor and screenshot and post it here. Or maybe a shitty ram, anyway, you could try cleaning the inside of your computer. How long do you have your pc.
Lets see... i cleaned my computer... about a week ago and i have it for about 2 years I have a Q9300(quad core) clocked @2.5Ghz 4GB DDR2 ram and a 280GTX windows 7 ultimate x64 Heres the picture: [editline]11:16PM[/editline] Bump... anybody know whats wrong?
anybody? please?
70°C in idle seems quite high, but maybe it's normal for 280s to run that hot. I'd start worrying when it approaches 100 though, gpus are usually designed to withstand high temperatures. You could try testing the card in another computer, just to confirm whether it's causing the problem or not.
What is your PSU?

I presume you also reinstalled the GPU drivers after you formatted? Since it is a common mistake. Also I do not know your PSU brand. You could try reaseating the gpu or using the onboard gpu (if you have one) to check the problem. My money is on a bad PSU 12V rail to your GPU.
