I'm looking for a game similar to Kingdom Hearts in terms of gameplay and mechanics. KH is my all time favorite game as is the series as a whole. I haven't been able to find a game that plays similarly to kingdom hearts though. I can't honestly find anything even remotely like it. I recently played DMC devil may cry, which in a weird sort of way reminded me of Kingdom Hearts, but the linear story and lack of free roaming ability kind of killed it for me.
I'm not really interested in Final Fantasy because I seriously hate turn-based combat, so that's a little out of the question. Help would be much appreciated.
Crisis Core was pretty good, but only play it if you've already played FF7.
Otherwise the game is pretty much a major spoiler for a pretty pivotal plot point of the original game
