There's lore behind each set of armor in Dark Souls so it might not be if it ties into the story. Obviously there will be plenty of new sets on top of ones from Dark Souls though.

This looks really awesome, although it does not look that much different than the Dark Souls. I thought they wanted to do a major overhaul. Nevertheless it looks great.

Would be a funny nod to all the people who compare this to Skyrim if they threw in some random event somewhere of some burly warrior trying to shout a dragon to death but gets horribly maimed when it obviously fails. Then again, overt comedy isn't really Dark Souls' thing.

Dark Soul's humour is so dark it's quite difficult to read sometimes, like the pendant which does nothing.
No seriously it does nothing, but the amount of shit it stirred in the community was unreal.

There is some self-aware humor and taking the piss out of genre tropes if you know where to look. It's all very subtle like everything else in the game though.
