My Windows 7 is not genuine - but it is - Hardware & Software

Hey, I got for my Windows 7 Ultimate x64 *5 product licences) and it worked for a day, but then it stopped and now tells me it is not genuine. I'm positive the key is legit, but it won't activate. What should I do?

Call Microsoft. There is a telephone option to activate.

Have you tried re-entering the code? This worked with my Windows Vista.

If your computer crashes and the date gets reset back to the year 2000, HTTPS sites won't work and Windows deactivates itself. True story.

This happened to me this summer, just call microsoft on the provided phone number and enter the code they give you.

Just disable the windows genuine shit. Google 'RemoveWAT"

No point in burning through activation codes since most computers don't go without a format for more than a week.

It's very annoying having to "activate" an OS, especially when i swap-out alot o hardware every day. Not one person I know is willing to pay for Windows. I agree with them, and help them any way I can. Is it even legal to buy 100 licenses of Windows instead of getting a VLK?

Yes, but our instructor won't, and expects us to just deal with Windows bitching to be activated, and running slmgr -rearm to extend the time we can go without needing to format (assuming it lasts that long anyways.) But we got tired of it, so we just run RemoveWAT whenever we have to format to get windows to shut up.
