Here are some interesting body facts - The largest cell in the human body is the female egg, and the smallest is the male sperm. - A full bladder is roughly the size of a soft ball (a bit bigger than a cricket ball). - It takes food seven seconds to get from your mouth to your stomach. - The attachment of human muscles to skin is what causes dimples. - The average man's penis is three times the length of his thumb. - A woman's heart beats faster than a man's. - If the average male never shaved, his beard would be 13 feet long when he died. - Men with hairless chests are more likely to get cirrhosis of the liver than men with hair. - There are about one trillion bacteria on each of your feet. - Side by side, 2000 cells from the human body could cover about one square inch. - Women blink twice as much as men. - The average person's skin weighs twice as much as their brain. - When you are looking at someone you love, your pupils dilate...they do the same when you are looking at someone you hate! - Your ears secrete more earwax when you are afraid than when you aren't. - Your body uses 300 muscles to balance itself when you are standing still. - If saliva cannot dissolve something, you cannot taste it. - The average woman is 5 inches shorter than the average man. *** You looked at your thumb... Didn't you?
My penis is 5 times the length of my thumb :smug: [editline]14th November 2010[/editline] fuck, I forgot all I have are nubs for thumbs since I was a small boy I had an accident around machinery.
13 foot long beard
- If saliva cannot dissolve something, you cannot taste it.
I call bullshit. Pretty sure saliva can't dissolve metal and I can sure as hell taste that.
I call bullshit. Pretty sure saliva can't dissolve metal and I can sure as hell taste that.
You might be tasting whatever is covering the outside of the metal.

Wait, if women's hearts beat faster, why do they live longer?
Is it 3 times when erect? There is no way my penis is that long flaccid
Is it 3 times when erect? There is no way my penis is that long flaccid
LOL you have short penis.
LOL you have short penis.
lol you lie about your penis size
My penis is 10 feet long. ture sroty
- If the average male never shaved, his beard would be 13 feet long when he died.
Yeah this one is definitely bullshit. Most men's beards stop growing at a certain length. Mine can only be about half an inch long before it stops growing. And there are plenty of cultures where men never shave (generally due to religious beliefs) and even the longest beards are not 13 feet long. And "three times the length of your thumb" is not a good indicator for penis length. How much of your thumb are you supposed to measure? Down to the second knuckle? All the way to the base of your thumb near your wrist? To the bottom of the crease between your thumb and index finger?
Erect or not? Also Megan Fox's penis must be huge.
Here are some interesting body facts:
Check your "facts" before posting, please.
- The largest cell in the human body is the female egg, and the smallest is the male sperm.
No. http://www.helium.com/items/699545-the-largest-and-smallest-cells-in-the-human-body
- The attachment of human muscles to skin is what causes dimples.
No idea. I don't understand the wiki-explanation either. Source? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dimple
- A woman's heart beats faster than a man's.
The heart rate is proportional to the mass of the heart. Men have bigger hearts in general. It's not a rule.
- If the average male never shaved, his beard would be 13 feet long when he died.
Where did you get this random number? The average growth rate is ½ inch/month. That equals 360 inches in 60 years = 20 feet. But even so, you cannot grow your hair to an unlimited length even if you had all the time in the world. So this is just plain wrong. http://www.hairfinder.com/hairquestions/facialhairgrowth.htm
- Men with hairless chests are more likely to get cirrhosis of the liver than men with hair.
What... how so?
- There are about one trillion bacteria on each of your feet.
This could very much be true, but still, source?
- Side by side, 2000 cells from the human body could cover about one square inch.
No. The average cell is 10 µm. 2000 * 10 µm = 2 cm. That's less than an inch. And more than 10 times less than a square inch. A number like 25.000 seems more appropriate.
- Women blink twice as much as men.
Not true.
- The average person's skin weighs twice as much as their brain.
Not really. Average skin mass = 8-10 pounds (4-5 kg) Average brain mass = 1.3 - 1.4 kg
- When you are looking at someone you love, your pupils dilate...they do the same when you are looking at someone you hate!
Haven't heard of them dilating from seeing someone you hate. You sure about this?
- Your ears secrete more earwax when you are afraid than when you aren't.
Didn't find anything about fear here. Could be wrong though. http://www.buzzle.com/articles/excessive-ear-wax.html
- Your body uses 300 muscles to balance itself when you are standing still.
Couldn't find an exact number. Could be true. Source?
- If saliva cannot dissolve something, you cannot taste it.
This seems to actually be correct! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taste_bud
Ok, here's a fact that you can perfectly try at home: Take the first phalanx of your fingers (The longer one) and put them together with the ones of your toes. They have the exact same length.
When you feel like going to the bathroom, your bladder is actually only half-full.
When you enter ''Fast Threads'' you are stupified.
When you feel like going to the bathroom, your bladder is actually only half-full.
Or half empty :smug:
That's it, i'm getting penis enlargment surgery... :smith: Wait a min, for that penis one to be true my penis would need to be somewhere close to 7inches for me!
Men with hairless chests are more likely to get cirrhosis of the liver than men with hair. FINALLY A POSITIVE TO HAVING CHEST HAIR GOD.
Wait, if women's hearts beat faster, why do they live longer?
One of main reasons is they have two X chromosomes. If one has a faulty gene the other X chromosome will negate the effect. Men only have 1, meaning they have no 'spare' X. This is also why more men are colour blind, alongside other genetic diseases.
lol i remember that from that chain mail i got in 1998 [editline]15th November 2010[/editline] it wasn't funny back then either
Wait, if women's hearts beat faster, why do they live longer?
They don't live longer, women and men have the exact same lifespan. The only problem is that men have more traffic accidents, tend to smoke and drink more (They tend to have more accidents -> More deaths at relatively young age) and thus the "medium lifespan" (Which is just pure statistics) decreases for them, giving then the false assumption that women live longer.

Women live longer biologically. This is most likely because there are slightly more men being born, and thus women aren't as disposable as men. It's the magic of evolution. When using headphones, ear bacteria increases 700X
Nah.. you're incorrect. Women live longer biologically. This is most likely because there are slightly more men being born, and thus women aren't as disposable as men. It's the magic of evolution. http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=why-women-live-longer
If that's true, why menopause exists? Women stop being reproductively active at their 40s/50s and men are able to reproduce all their lifes (In theory, actually a 90 y/o man would most likely have a heart attack when trying to have sex) I heard the whole "there's a bit more male newborns than women's" is because male offsprings tend to die at a very young age (their first year) a bit more easily than women, but I'm not sure if this is completely true.
When using headphones, ear bacteria increases 700X
...thus we demostrate that bacteria have a good musical taste
My thumb is 3.7 inches long :smug:
penis one is true for me at least. I had to push it down so I could cover the full length. Also, it was from the second knuckle so that means the whole thumb.
There's some crazy one about hitting some nerve in your thumb and becoming dizzy. It was on the "hacking life" poster/picture. The part that made me doubt it was the strange percentage of people they said were "unaffected" by this feat.
Your feces are actually edible and are actually more nutritious due to the body's absorption of excessive wastes along with SOME minerals
