• iPhone 3GS with IOS 3.1 with skype power problem

Hey, whenever I use calls over skype on my iPhone 3GS the battery is being drained fast (I use it on 3G to call other skype users). When I connect it to a charger (wallsocket or USB) it begins to charge, after going up a few percent the phone slowly begins loosing battery, about 1% every 2-4 minutes, even though it's connected to the charger and the phone gets the "charging" symbol up right. So, slower drain if connected, fucking fast if it's not. The phone gets extremely hot too, but shouldn't the phone be unable to loose battery when being connected? It looses the battery very quick before connecting it too, and for the last 4 months I've had to recharge it every night because it goes down to about 10-20%. Yes, I do use the phone a lot, but I feel my older sony ericsson cellphone could hold texting longer on its battery. I've tried using both the USB cable for charging and the wallsocket charger, and the phone will charge up once skype is closed at it's normal rate. Small useful facts: - It runs IOS 3.1.2 and looses signal to WIFI, that's the reason I use 3G. - It's jailbreaked and I close all processes to make sure nothing else draws power, hell even after using Safari I shut it down in processes. - It probably starts before, but I always notice it after about one hour of talk. - Push is turned off. Any help would be very nice.
You should try updating the firmware to 4.0.1, but not to the latest 4.0.2 because that can't be jailbroken
What's your mobile substrate version?
I'm afraid to upgrade to 4.0.X because I heard a lot of people are having problems with it on the 3GS, aswell with some of the more ram and cpu demanding applications will run worse than they already do, since ios 4 uses more of both cpu and ram (correct me if I'm wrong). psp401.com all I can find is what mobilesubtrate addons I have installed, where do I see the version I'm using? Addons is: Mousesupport, Preferenceloader, SimulatedKeyEvents, Veency, Winterboard and libhide. All are enabled, even though Veency and so on is disabled in the drop down menu that can be opened whereever you are. Do any of you know if it's possible to still upgrade to a 3.1.3 or something higher in the 3.X.X? I'd like to have the WIFI issue fixed :v:
I have 3Gs and i am afraid to upgrade to 4OS because i've hear that your battery dies in couple days with that.
Alright, does anyone know how to legally switch to 3.2.2 or 3.2.1? I need my WIFI fixed, which is done in those versions on the 3gs. In itunes it only lets me do 4.X.X
