Snip. No it wasn't
That was the DLC?
Not the one Valve were talking about.
I'm really disappointed that it's $140. They announced a while back that it would be 'under $99' and 'out around the time Portal 2 launches', which definitely got me excited. I decided that would be the version of Portal 2 I would get and set some cash aside...and then it never came out. I asked them about any potential dates but they refused to tell anybody. Now, two months later, it comes out way overpriced. Sigh... Though on the other hand, the compatibility list for this thing is huge and contains basically everything on my Steam games list. Considering the original $200 price for the Novint Falcon and how much more limited the Falcon's compatibility was, this thing doesn't seem so bad as a motion control option for PC. I just think I'll wait a bit for someone to post videos of it working in something other than Portal 2 before I jump in.
What is with valve and pushing shitty gimmicks.
Oh look it's available in Europe for €140 euro. THAT'S 200 DOLLARS NOT 140 DOLLARS!
Its not like we could play those maps without the controller anyways

RPS overreacting as the normally do.
If it comes with TF2 hats, I am sure people will buy this controler
If it comes with TF2 hats, I am sure people will buy this controler
Buy a Razer now and get a bonus RESCALEABLE hat in Team Fortress 2!
Buy a Razer now and get a bonus RESCALEABLE hat in Team Fortress 2!
People would pay that for a hat they could make giant Than paint pink
Well they said it was going to be free, so obviously it's not THE dlc they promised.
I haven’t tried one so I could well be as wrong as Ian McWrong, who was born on the first of Wrong Nineteen-Wrongety-Wrong.
That's the worst pun EVER

Also, $250 for Aussies, now THAT is worth complaining about
Portal Surfing: Bend your mind and defy physics by rotating and sliding portals into exact positions and orientations.
This sounds kind of stupid. I mean i know the uses for it, and how it could be useful in that one situation, but it's overcomplicating the concept of "shoot wall, shoot roof, walk through portal, fall". The new stuff in Portal 2 added some more stuff to do using portals, but portals and portal placement never changed.
well that's gay.
What is with valve and pushing shitty gimmicks.
It's not entirely gimmicky as some people like to play PC games in their living room and this is the perfect tool for that. It's more precise than a standard dual analogue stick controller and has quite a lot of supported games.
Also, $250 for Aussies, now THAT is worth complaining about
Does it seem incredibly unfair to you guys that here in NZ, $250NZD would only buy about two major titles and one 3-8 year old title?
Does it seem incredibly unfair to you guys that here in NZ, $250NZD would only buy about two major titles and one 3-8 year old title?
Yes, but we both get ripped off on retail. It's roughly the same here, new releases are anywhere from $80 (PC) to $130 (Console)
i think this looks pretty silly but i think ill get one if they release them outside of steam [editline]17th June 2011[/editline] (where i lvie that is idk if it is where u live and i dont care)

" The MotionPack includes a set of custom single-player puzzle maps that can only be solved with true six degree-of-freedom controllers." Challenge accepted, doing it without the motion controller. But first I need that dlc.
the map pack isn't made by valve, it's third party don't care about it then, lol.
Is this RPS thingy really buggy/glitchy for anyone else?
The DLC looks pretty neat Just a shame I'll probably never play it
If its not related with the plot, then im not really interested
Gameplay from the DLC... This isn't really new, it was shown off months ago, but it's still pretty cool.
They'd better come out with a new DLC soon. One that doesn't cost $140.
